Low: (view spoiler)[ It's cute how she is so different from all of Cage's conquests. He isn't the kind of guy any mother would want for her daughter, unless he makes a major change! Obviously she is a good friend to have stuck by Cage all these years. I just hope he doesn't somehow dupe her and ruin her innocence. Her sister isn't very nice, I don't think. She certainly isn't too into Larissa, or that's how it seems at this point. But to not allow her own sister to stay when she babysits for her AND she isn't a trouble maker. Her sis is not my kind of human being. (hide spoiler)]

Cage: (view spoiler)[ I don't know much about him yet, but he definitely isn't the kind of guy I'd go for or I'd want a daughter to date. I just worry he'll somehow break Low's heart, but hopefully she is going to fall for Marcus and not want Cage in that way. (hide spoiler)]

Multiple POV's works for me in this book. So far it's not confusing and is clearly labeled. I like and respect both of the main characters (Marcus and Low) so far.

Preston: (view spoiler)[ I don't know too much about him yet, but evidently he's pretty much a male whore like Cage. So not likely to swoon over him. I didn't like how he took Low to the bar and then left with someone else, even if she "gave him permission." (hide spoiler)]

Green: (view spoiler)[ Okay, I'm not big on tats, but he plays bass, he's an alternate singer, and he is intelligent! He might could be a good one. LOL (hide spoiler)]

Rock and Trisha: (view spoiler)[ I really like Trisha so far and I think she makes for a good friend, so far. Rock and Trisha. I don't have much to say about Rock just yet. He's protective over his wife, but he just might be quick to anger. He didn't like it at all when Marcus got upset about Cage taking Low home and directed his "angry snarl" at Trisha. Marcus: (view spoiler)[ He is simply a sweetie pie. He really has a huge crush on Low! He cooked for her, "followed" her to the bar, tried to let her know he really is interested in her, and he almost kissed her and that WHAT??? Here comes Sadie? NO WAY!! Someone please tell me that she does NOT still have a hold on him! (hide spoiler)]

Tawny: (view spoiler)[ Selfish to the core and not my kind of sister or friend or mother! She guilts Low into babysitting by "threatening" to have a sitter stay all night with Larissa. What a cheap shot. (hide spoiler)]

Willow/Low: (view spoiler)[ I really hope that she realizes that she IS good enough for Marcus. Jess and Sadie showing up at the wrong times and giving her the impression that he's just like Cage upset me. She didn't even ask any questions, just assumed. I assume she has low self-esteem since her mom never cooked for her, and both her mom and Tawny never made her feel loved. Wonder what that's all about. (hide spoiler)]

At this very moment I am really frustrated with (view spoiler)[ Marcus. I mean he FINALLY gets Low to a point that she almost believes that "they can happen," and then he makes that dumb move and leaves her AGAIN. Didn't he learn the first time? He must have been smart enough to realize that she'd been upset about Jess the first time since his friend said she'd left right after he took off with Jess. Now he's going to do it again? MEN!!! At the bar: (view spoiler)[ Up until Marcus decides to step off the dance floor, things were getting pretty hot and steamy. WHY did he do that?? (hide spoiler)]

Dream: (view spoiler)[ I loved Willow's dream. OMG Can you imagine waking up to CAGE instead of Marcus and having those thoughts in your head. Cage would SO take advantage of her! His sexual comments were totally disgusting and inappropriate, even if they have been friends forever. He should know that she's not the type to "appreciate" those types of remarks. He should know she is a virgin, too. That alone should give him more respect for her. (hide spoiler)]

Marcus's Dad and Mom: (view spoiler)[ I feel bad for Marcus's mom. After 25 years of marriage her husband steps out to sleep with what I'd call some ho-bag! Just not right. Marcus is further illustrated as a sweet, caring, nurturing, protective man to care as he does for his mother and sister. Hooray for the way he stood up to his father!! I wonder if there is going to be repercussions from that since his dad said he'd speak to their mother about her talking with them about "their business." I can't stand his father! (hide spoiler)]

Through ch. 15

Marcus: (view spoiler)[ Just after I wrote the above spoilers, I believe it was in ch. 11, I found out the reason Marcus went off with Jess. It's more forgivable, and Willow obviously forgave him. But he still should have handled it differently. He needs to be more open and share his deepest thoughts with her, especially regarding his family situation. And one more thing: I am REALLY glad that he is truly over Sadie! (hide spoiler)]

Willow: (view spoiler)[ She really is a good "mama" to Larissa. What I don't like is that she still would rather confide in Cage than Marcus. If that doesn't stop, it will cause friction. That they do not feel comfortable sharing their pain with each other is a concern for their relationship. It could be that they are not yet that confident in their relationship, but they need to be each other's confidante.

The bathroom scene cracked me up. I mean who sneaks in to watch their man in the shower having his own private personal "sex" with himself? LOL (hide spoiler)]

Marcus's mom and dad: (view spoiler)[ I understand why his mom would forgive and try to work through what happened since they have 25 years invested, but I don't trust his father for one minute. He's a dog. (hide spoiler)]

Jefferson: (view spoiler)[ So we finally get to meet Larissa's father. Other than the fact that he is already married, I have no real thoughts on him. He isn't a very upstanding man, however. If he wants to screw around and father children, he should already have divorced his wife. I don't have high hopes for him as a father to Larissa. (hide spoiler)]

Cage: (view spoiler)[ He has redeemed himself somewhat in chapter 15. It's very sweet how he knows Low's thoughts, her fears, and that he keeps her stocked with her Jarritos. LOL I saw another side to him in ch. 15. (hide spoiler)]

The dynamics of Cage, Willow and Marcus: (view spoiler)[ After reading ch. 15 I now see just how messed up and scared Willow is. She really has abandonment issues, and it tore me up to see her so scared that Cage was leaving her. He is all she's known and loved (other than Larissa) her entire life, so just giving her entire self to Marcus is going to take time, if that ever fully occurs. She definitely sees Cage as her lifeline! Hopefully that changes because I think Cage is a good friend in many ways, but I still think Marcus and she are better for one another at this point. OMG!! OMG!!! OMG!! I was NOT expecting this to happen. Maybe you girls are more intuitive than I am, but there is a HUGE twist of irony in chapter 19. I'm still at school (work) having my lunch break, but I had to write about this NOW while my mouth is still hanging open! LOL OMG I can't wait until all of you have gotten to that part. Do NOT PEEK at the end of ch. 19 or it will ruin it for you. HURRY! LOL

Willow and Marcus: (view spoiler)[ I am so sad that Marcus didn't even ASK Willow how long she'd known about Jefferson and Tawny. He simply assumed and he was SOOOOO quick to say good-bye FOREVER! And to say she is DEAD to him? I was really shocked at how quickly he could say that. I know he's hurt, upset, and feels betrayed, but to say that someone you love is DEAD to you?!!! I can't wrap that around my brain! Never in a MILLION years could/would I say that someone I love is dead to me, and I've had many good reasons to think about saying that. Never gonna happen! That was awful!
