I enjoyed this book sooooooo much!Is nice to read a YA book told and written by a guy, without the whole love triangle crap, I love that there's not even a love story (at least in the first book, haven't read the other ones).
Great choice for the BOTM
Uh oh, I'm getting worried, I thought the sequels were good, specially the third. I guess I'll have to read it to really know.Natasha, Yes, it was a nice change from what I was reading as well. :D
I enjoyed this book! I thought it was really interesting. I haven't read the rest in the series, but I thought The Maze Runner was good.
I read this book a couple of months ago and I really liked it. like others said earlier, it was kind of nice to actually focus on the story and what was happening without a love triangle. they're nice sometimes, but it kind of gets stale after while. I plan on reading the rest of the series next year and can't wait for the movie!
I read the book several years ago. I really enjoyed it. I also liked that there was no love triangle. The book was very fresh and an original. I have not read the rest of the series.
I didn't really like this book. It took me three months to finish it. I like the concept and the characters, but the writing is dry. Even if a story is good, if the writing is not, I have problems enjoying the book. I look forward to the movie, because it will probably be more exciting.

I didn't like this one as much. I liked the suspense and the descriptions, but it didn't really seem like anything got resolved. The plot was a bit convoluted and the puzzles really only got solved out of convenience. Too much was left unanswered. Also, my biggest dislike of the novel: (view spoiler)

spoilers I read this book overnight. I found it to be a lot like Hunger Games without the interaction with the makers or contributors. I found it to be fast paste and quite interesting cant not wait for the Scorched Trails should be here tomorrow. I truly hope i can pace myself however the better the book the faster i read.

Synopsis:
Soon to be a major motion picture starring Dylan O'Brien and Kaya Scodelario.
The first book in the New York Times bestselling Maze Runner series—The Maze Runner is a modern classic, perfect for fans of The Hunger Games and Divergent.
When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.
Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every thirty days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.
Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.
Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.
