New pictures released of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. What does everyone think of the photos

I like them but thought his hair might be slightly longer and messier more sexy looking
Perfect! I was unsure about Dakota Johnson at first. I just couldn't picture her as Ana but she looks great. Hopefully they can pull this off!
He looks good in the pics, don't get me wrong..but...definitely not what I was picturing Christian to be, I don't see her as Ana either. I don't have high hopes for the movie.
Not feeling it at all...Facial hair did wonders for Jamie Dornan. The press showed TOO many pictures of him with a beard and now that I look at him without it, I'm not as thrilled as I was.
I expected to be the one in my circle of friends that was holding us all together.

I'm still on the fence about him. He just doesn't seem mysterious and dominant-looking enough. Or sexy enough for that matter. Christian is supposed to exude this sophisticated, raw magnetism. Am I really getting that from Jamie? Not really. I don't think she's TOO bad.
They don't look good together lol. I'm not an obsessed FSOG freak but you how you see couples down the street and think oh they go, or oh they look odd together. They just don't mesh well together.

and the picture tells no chemistry
The only thing I can think of is .... They could not afford better actors, because this looks bad.
Dakota doesnt look innocent AT ALL . she's gonna have to really work on her acting skills if she wants to act as Ana. And James , he looks like he has just hit puberty . Christian had sophistication and maturity among other things which I soo cant see in him .

I think they look great together! I'm actually getting excited. I think it's really important to go in to that theater with an open mind because there will never be a perfect translation, especially with the first so I think we need to trust what the director is doing and wait. And then when the movie is shit we can criticize it all we want; who's with me?! :D
I'm keeping an "open mind" until I see the first trailer. Based on that I will make a determination rather or not I will see this. I have a strong feeling Dakota Johnson will ruin it. The lip biting in that picture is just, ugh. She's trying too hard to look innocent and failing miserably.

Wow, I'd say now fans really need to start worrying about their acting chops.A) Jamie's upper body looks to be the same size as Dakota's. You even can see their feet were almost as big in the photo E.L.James tweeted. That means Jamie's gonna need manheels to give him the height leverage againse Dakota, yet he has no muscle to showcase the dominating masculinity power the role needs. Plus IMO he dosen't look as good as with facial hair on.

Her skin looks tired even with makeup and photoshop, not good. And she has no boobs. Legs are very fine, but I very doubt the camera can showcase them enough without revealing Jamie's height disadvantage.
C) The postures seem forced to me, like trying too hard to appease the fans. As for chemistry, the most important thing for the seccess of a romance film, none that I see unfortunately.
I think I'll just forget about this 50 thing by the time the movie's out. So good luck to those die hard fans!
I think Dakota looks great as Ana in brown hair. Minus the lip biting. But as for Jamie… doesn't do it for me. Christian needs to be a hunk/gorgeous, sex is supposed to roll off of him right? Women stare at him… want him. I don't see myself staring at this man walking down the street. I hope it works out for the movie, cause I really want to love the movie as much as I liked the books.

i like the pictures but the girl playin ana looks to old. The Jamie dude that is playing Christian is ok, i mean it's better than the first person they had playing Christian. I so wanted Matt Bomer to play Christian he fits the role perfectly and his eyes are amazing. and i wanted Shailene Woodley to play ana. i'm not at all crazy for the cast of the book. the better bring it in the movie or im gonna be one mad somebody.
he is by no means bad looking but he just isn't right and she's average( as ana is) but he still isn't my christian grey.

yea, jamie dornan is not who i pictured as christian grey either (i was hoping for stephen amell from arrow), but eh, i guess jamie is okay. i watched him on "the fall" on netflix. and i can see why they picked him. not sure about the girl playing ana either.

I was looking for something specific when I came across the title of your blog. NO I DO NOT want a movie to be made. First of all, I don't feel then can pick an actor to do Christian Grey justice. Second, until the movie is rated X, there is no way, they will be able to realistically be able to follow suit with the book.Just my opinion...

Regardless of what is thought of their looks, it's their "acting it out" that's going to make or break the entire production. The transition from the focus on physical to higher aspects of LOVE will be key. If they can pull it off, an Oscar could be in site. If not, both careers will tank. Quite a risk! That in itself makes it exciting for me to lean back and watch with interest. But then again, I only write for a living these days. How boring is that!
I don't know about it turning out to be an Oscar contender. I'm doubtful about that. But I do think it whether or not it will be a success could very easily swing either way. I remember reading that one of the reasons why Titanic made as much money as it did was not necessarily because everyone thought it was so amazing a film, but partly because die-hard Leonardo DiCaprio fans were going to see it over and over again. Same with the Sex and the City movies. I think that as long as they keep the production expenses low and it isn't completely god-awful, the Fifty Shades built in fan base along with those who are morbidly curious will be more than enough to ensure that it is a success.

I actually don't see Ian Somerhalder as Christian Grey. He's too vampiric for my taste. Matt Bomer is a little more appropriate, but he kind of has that news anchor look to him. This is all kind of amusing in the sense that we all know what Christian Grey is REALLY supposed to look like, don't we? *cough*Robert Pattinson*cough*

I agree with so many.. Christian Grey character is going to be so DIFFICULT to fulfill due to the fact that everyone has made their own visual..

They look awesome! Can't wait. We all need to remember that Christian and Ana look different in all of our heads; it's a book, so don't expect your perfect mold. Enjoy it. :)
Jamie Dornan was so hot when he played as The Hunter in The Once Upon A Time tv show. They shouldn't have made him shave off his beard or if they really have to then at least leave a stubble! I don't know. Still keeping my hopes up for this movie though. ^^

Ugh!! I see no chemistry with these 2. I was gonna watch it but now I just don't see myself doing it. I don't think these 2 can pull it off. I'll stick to the books and my imagination of christain.
