I have already started this book. I'm about to start Chapter 3 right now. Good premise though! Didn't know Livie hasn't had a first kiss, yet. But knowing her, it probably isn't surprising.

So far, we got a glimpse of Ashton, the love interest, but since he comes off as the most popular guy in school and an asshole, and Livie is the good girl, it sounds clichéd. I'm just hoping that the execution of the story will turn out impressive, despite that.

End of chapter 3 - (view spoiler)[I could completely imagine how mortifying all the events of last night must have been to Livie! I mean, I've never been drunk before or even drink more than 3 cups of beer and the likes, so that's probably it. I think I'd hate Kacey if she does that to me. And what makes this chapter hard to believe is how Livie acted when Ashton was naked, and how she isn't clothed, too, save for her underwear... If I were her, I'd run straight to my closet! With a person like Livie that must make her uncomfortable but it showed otherwise! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5 - (view spoiler)[Wow. I've never had those stuff figure out. I guess Dr. Stayner is right about Livie having plans that are fixed. I think I could really relate to her because that's what I think I'm doing with my life right now. I liked what Kacey said about life is about trial and error. (hide spoiler)]

chapter 10 - (view spoiler)[To be honest, this book is pissing me. I've had enough of attractions and then falling in love, or the quick build of romance. I really hate that. And now because of a note Livie's going crazy? It isn't because she's naïve. Everyone is smart enough not to believe stuff like those. Didn't it ever crossed her mind that since Ashton is around girls all the time, that this note doesn't change everything because flirting is a natural for him? That he probably does that with other girls and Livie's not the first one? (hide spoiler)]

They are veey much alike (well, they're twins and all) and I like how Livie is devoted in helping these kids at least forget about their illness. It shows how much she wants this field. And the twins arw really charming. They talk about their leukemia so casually like it never bothers them... It's just too much to take in for such a young age!

So far, I'm growing to like Ashton more. I have no problem with people using sex and whatnot as a form of escape, but I guess the two should've thought of Connor. Who knows what happens if he finds out. Worse, if he caught them, accidentally.

I really like Livie, overall, as a character. She matured early and is very responsible in handling what happened with Kacey. I love their sisterly bonding, by the way! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17 - (view spoiler)[Oh, I'm really growing on Ashton. I liked him more now than Connor. It isn't because that Ashton sacrificed so much for Livie — skipping practice, sifting through the attic for a photo, not even sure if it's there — it's his time. I think that's the most important thing of all. It's the thought that he searched for that one old photo, knowing it means so much to Livie since she doesn't own any photograph of her parents. It was his dedication and willingness. Unlike Connor.. well, even though we don't know much about his POV, I couldn't see much from his concerns compare to Ashton. (hide spoiler)]

I'm literally crying right now! Haha! I cry a lot, too, like Livie. The first time was about (view spoiler)[Lola being gone (that's so sad!) (hide spoiler)] and then (view spoiler)[Ashton's mom and everything related to it! I cried because the writing was beautiful I could really feel the connection between the characters. I cried with what Dr. Stayner did. He's not just a doctor. He's a friend :") I cried how Ashton's dad blackmails him about his mom. That's very cruel and sickening! And how he considered his son as a curse and what he did to him as a kid. That really hurts. Oh the feels! Lol! (hide spoiler)]

I think what bothered me with this book is the issues discussed. I didn't like how (view spoiler)[Livie and Ashton forgot to use a condom! That's very clumsy!

I admit that I didn't admire Livie, the character I definitely find decent and respectable, turned into a sort of careless bitch but still I think it's good that she made the choices that she's going to be happy about. That she came to her realizations but I find myself wanting more of that part stage of her life. It feels lacking.

I also didn't like how when Connor was drunk and was sexually abusibg her, Livie found a way to use it against him as reason for breaking up with him, when the real reason was she loves Ashton and not him. If Connor wouldn't have found out she's in the bathroom, I think she never would've admitted it. I'd prefer if she just get it over with and not hold a grudge against him. That's just wrong.

Anyway, I think Ten Tiny Breaths was more filled with emotions that this one. (hide spoiler)]
