Weekly topic for discussion - How are you feeling about the New Adult genre?

Since this new genre was introduced, we've seen an explosion of titles released. Do you understand this new classification? Have you read any books categorized as New Adult? What's been your experience?

I absolutely love it. It's more grown up than YA/teen, but it shows that young angst and that journey of figuring out life and developing into adulthood.

Sure Lynn, NA means New Adult, between YA (young adult / teen) and adult literature.

I have loved some it,I thought Beautiful Disaster was fantastic!! I also really liked Slammed.
Wanting you by Becca Siller was ok
My Favorite Mistake was TERRIBLE.
I guess it's like any reading any book by an author that's new to you; you take your chances.

Ehh, I haven't been too crazy about the new genre. I haven't really dipped my toes in them either. From the reviews I follow, there's a mix of hate and love on the same book so I don't even know where to start. Then again, it's not like I need more books right now to make my reading list even more crazy. If people do have recommendations, I'd be open to them (for future reads down the road... way down lol).

I've found that the genre is incredibly hit or miss for me; there is no in between. I either love them or hate them.

I'm not real big into the young adult genre either...now I'll read some of their books ev'ry once n a while but that's about it,tho.... I might read Beautiful Creatures (whatever that story is all about or whatever) and I might read a few others like the 50 Shades of Gray or whatever...but that's about it...U know what? They should totally have a genre for all of the people who's n their 20's and 30's. And then they should have several other genres for people n thier 40's,50's,and then they should have individual genres for people n their 60's,70's and upper...ya know? Wouldn't that b a good idea? I think so...somebody should totally come up with that,with those ideas...so that nobody gets none of the genres mixed up or whatever....Or am I the only one who feels this way?
