I am guessing you are a young person, but I didnt know they made the Giver into a series, last I knew there was only one book????? How many are there?
Best individual books,Anything Dickens, David Copperfield^^^which is the book I would choose if stranded on a deserted Island, its super long and many characters and includes just about every emotion at one time or another. Tale of two cities....
oh soooo many ummmm don quixote-----confederacy of dunces most anything by hemingway, ummmm well I just started reading Graham Greene and anything by him, gg marquez is always good
for series of course LOTR, asimovs foundation trilogy, the vamphiri series, the magician series I think its called Midkemia now. Yeah thats a good start
