"What?" Jev asked distractedly, not really paying much attention to anything but the questions the nurse was asking.

Shiloh headed into the aisle and searched the shelves furiously. Every time she went out, they didn't have what she wanted. And she needed this. But she found herself buying it anyway, just to see if it would work; she was met with disappointment every time. She was setting herself up for it too, but she kept looking--always looking. There! Quickly, she snatched some copper wire and a new pair of wire cutters. Her last ones were as good as a plastic shovel and she was running low on wire. But the magnet, that's what she needed. With a soft sigh to herself, she grabbed a magnet--the strongest power one they sold-- and checked out. On her way to the checkout, she grabbed a hard cover book, and walked out of the store, having gathered the information she needed to report back of the flock from the dude at the register.
She reached up and whispered in his ear. "The girl had feathers. I saw them. They've gotta be wings."
"Huh? Thats great Lissa..." Jev mumbled as he watched the door of the room they had taken King into. If that kid ended up dying because he hadn't taken him to a hospital the first time he'd passed out Jev wouldn't be able to live with himself.
She had tears streaming down her face. Alyssa began to pray quietly. "Please let King survive. I can't let another mutant die. I'm already haunted by all of the ones that I've killed. Please let him live!"
((I love Jev's reaction to Alyssa saying, "Guess what! I saw another kid with wings! She's a freak like us, I bet!". Hahaha. :P ))
((I know right! That's my response to when people try to talk to me when I'm either reading, watching tv or on my phone so pretty much all the time! Haha))
((Hehe, nice. With me, whenever someone tries to talk to me when I'm reading, I either A) Ignore them, or B) Tell them to go away, I'm busy.))
King bad turned out okay, but the only problem was he was suffering from a dangerous fever and his Kungs were filled with fluid. So after taking care if him the doctor placed King in a room, but they were shocked to see he had wings.
Jev was leaning against a wall, watching everyone in the emergency room closely, when a nurse came out to get him. She brought Alyssa and himself into the recovery room King was in. Jev was about to ask him how he felt but then he noticed a doctor still in the room.((Hey Izzy, wanna play the doctor? Cause I don't wanna rp with myself haha))
Alyssa stood next to Jev. She looked at the doctor with wide eyes.
((Just responded, but then I saw your post. *headdesk* Re-write time!))"He isn't feeling his best currently, but we're working on it. He has a fever which we're slowly bringing down," the doctor answered, not fazed by the boy immediately asking questions instead of greeting him. Looking down at the patient, he paused. "However..there is one thing."
Alyssa shyly stood behind Jev.
((Oops, sorry about that Iz!))Jev nodded slowly. "When will he be able to leave?" he asked, ignoring the inevitable question that the doctor was about to ask.
((Don't worry about it! I'm logging off in a minute anyway, so yeah..))The doctor placed his hands behind his back, looking at Jev. "Are you aware that your friend has wings?" he asked, looking surprisingly calm.
Jev sighed inwardly, though on the outside he was completely unreadable, since he could read the doctors mind he knew that question was coming. Now to figure out what to say... "Wings? Are you high?" he asked laughing, acting as if the doctor was trying to tell a joke.((Awww, alrighty :/))
Alyssa said nothing. She just hid behind Xavier.
"This is no laughing matter, sir," the doctor said, sternly. "If you really didn't know about your friend's secret, I can show you and you can see for yourself."
King suddenly coughed, curling up on his side and groaning in pain. His body hurt, and he slightly opened his eyes. "Where am I?"
Jev stopped laughing when King woke up. "That won't be necessary," he said to the doctor before turning to face King. "You're at the hospital." he said carefully, not wanting to alarm him.
Alyssa rushed over to King's side and she whispered. "You're going to be okay."
Shiloh left the store behind taking off in a fast walk, not sprinting because there was humans around. So she had found out that they were in a city within a hundred miles of Los Angles. So they had made excellent timing, especially since King wasn't doing so well. She worked her way around to the back of a building to take flight.
The doctor stepped away from the patient's bed, giving his friends more room to visit. While he was silent, he was already planning questions to ask the group. A kid with wings? That wasn't normal. Though he didn't know how to deal with it. Call the FBI? CIA? They'd probably think he was crazy though.
Weston felt sick as he neared the hospital, though he knew it was his best chance of getting help. He'd done something to one of his arms, and despite all the thoughts in his head, West wasn't close enough to anyone with enough knowledge to figure out what to do. Proximity was the key for him to pick up information.
Shiloh sped off towards the direction she had left the flock. It took a few minutes, and a few false tries, but eventually she found the tree she kept as a mental landmark, but she didn't see them. They were probably hiding, yes, that had to be it. She started her descent and landed on the ground silently. "Alyssa? Jev? King?" she hissed, but was greeted by silence. She clenched and unclenched her fists, as close as she would allow herself to be nervous. The school wouldn't, couldn't, have gotten them. It was a thought she refused to believe. "Very funny guys, now come out," she said to the empty area, expecting them to just pop out of no where and yell 'surprise!'
Weston frowned slightly as he picked up on some knowledge while wandering the halls. It was from a doctor, he was sure. A kid with wings? What? There were some here? Where! Weston needed to find out. Definitely.
Jev sighed slowly as he turned to face the doctor. "Look dude, I know what you're thinking and yes, if you contact the CIA or the FBI or whatever, they will think you're crazy." he said, usuing his telekinesis to lock the door in case the doctor tried to run.
The doctor's eyes widened to the size of golf balls. "Y-You read my mind, didn't you?" He moved towards the door, not liking these kids. No, of course he didn't..that's just crazy talk, he thought. "You kids knew about his wings, didn't you?"
Weston closed his eyes, sighing softly and waiting. They all had wings. He could tell. The knowledge came to him like that. Weird. How could he not have known??
"Me? Read your mind? Thats crazy talk, or at least thats what people would say if you told anyone." Jev said, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning against the wall. "Doctor, Im afraid you're mistaken. Humans couldn't possibley have wings, right?"
Alyssa sat quietly next to King.
Facing the fact that they weren't here, Shiloh was about to allow herself to think that the school had gotten them, but while she was looking down, she saw a footprint in the mud. It had to be Alyssa's, it was the shoes that Shiloh had found for her when she had joined them. Her hopes rising, she ran--full speed-- towards the town. Whatever reason, they must have headed into town. But why? Supplies, information? No, she said she was getting that. The only two possibilities that came to mind was for cover or because King wasn't doing well. She slowed to a jog when she reached people, no need to attract more attention then needed. Now she looked around, trying to find them, or any sign of them.
"Well, of course not," the doctor stammered, keeping his eyes on the teenagers as he reached for the doorknob. "But the patient..he does have wings! I saw them with my own eyes!"
"Oh yeah, sure he does doc," Jev said sarcastically, nodding his head with a slight grin on his lips. He couldn't wait for him to try and open the door, since he had locked it with his telekinesis.
That did it. These kids were driving the doctor crazy. That, or he was crazy. He grabbed the doorknob and pulled, trying to open the door and get out of the room. It's locked?! But..how? The poor man looked like he was going to have a heat attack.
Shiloh had not seen any trace of the flock as she walked around, checking all possible places she knew where Jev would hide the flock. Still a giant joke? She wished. Earlier she thought that King may need to go to the hospital, but she knew that Jev wouldn't take him there unless absolutely necessary. Which would explain why the flock was no longer where she had left them. As much as she hated to go to a hospital, she headed off in search for one, knowing that's where the flock must be. Now she just had to find one.
((HUEHUEHUE.)) Weston decided to walk away from the room of winged kids, from the hospital. He was better off alone anyway. Outside, he dropped on a bench, ignoring the knowledge that flooded his head, how it was built, who built it, when, where, and why. It was all way too much sometimes.
Shiloh looked around to ask someone for directions. But it must have been rush hour or something because everyone wouldn't give her the time of day. Now that annoyed her, but she kept her hands balled in fists at her side from saying something that she would regret. She managed to squeeze her way through the crowd, feeling extremely claustrophobic. That didn't help her agitated mood. She was lucky that no one tried to pick pocket her in the mist of all that, her backpack held quite a lot of money. But by the looks of her, she didn't seem like she would have more then twenty dollars.
Money. That's the first thing Weston noted as a girl passed by. She had money. He could hear the history coming off of it, adding more and more noise to his head. He shut off the knowledge in instants. Who was that girl? Surely she wasn't normal. He could tell just by her posture.
Shiloh spotted a guy by himself on a bench, maybe he knew where a hospital was. Figuring it was her best bet, she walked over and stood to the side of him. "Do you know where a hospital is?" she asked, not bothering with a friendly hello. Why should she? Everyone else here didnt, they were all to busy. Busy busy to lend her a little help. She just wanted information so she could leave.
