Shiloh nodded. "Okay, I remember it now," she said as the pieces clicked. A small place, it will be perfect. She hated big cities.

After about fourty minutes of flying, Jev could see the town. It wasn't really what he would consider a town, but people lived there. Out in, what seemed like, the middle of no where. Without a word he lowered his altitude, wanting to land somewhere people wouldn't see.
She lowered her altitude till she touched down on the ground.
Shiloh dropped to the ground quietly, using the rising sun to her advantage. If someone were to look up, they would get an eyeball of sun. Not a birdkid falling onto the ground. She pulled her wings in as soon, if not before, her feet touched the ground.
Alyssa pulled in her wings as she adjusted her backpack.
Jev pulled his wings in before he touched down, landing easily on the ground. "There's a diner right over there," he said, gesturing towards the diner. "We can eat there."
((I'm back!))King followed everyone, but was a little shaky as he flew, considering he couldn't see anything. He was constantly using his echolocation skills to find the others, along with his enhanced hearing. He landed with the group and nearly fell, for his footing had been bad. He managed to catch himself, however. "Hopefully the food there isn't too expensive..." He said as he looked towards Jev.
((Heyyy!))Shiloh looked over at the small building Jev pointed to and nodded. "I don't think it will be," she said slowly, not that it mattered. If needed, she had several bank accounts she could draw money from. A few tricks here and there to avoid it being tracked.
King nodded, yawning softly. He was still tired even after sleeping last night. Maybe it was because of the constant night terrors he had where he woke up and couldn't breathe. He shook the thought out of his head and looked in the direction of the diner, feeling a bit nervous about the thought of actually being in public.
"Trust me King, this place would be lucky if it had two stars." Jev said with a slight laugh. He quickly described the location to King, even though he knew he was able to use his echolocation, he thought it might be helpful.
King nodded in response to the description, "Sounds okay, I guess. Plus, they have food. I wonder if it's any good." He scoffed, putting his hands behind his head.
Shiloh quickly talked their way to a seat far from people, close to a door. Which really wasnt too hard, it was almost vacant. "I don't think it matters if its good or not," she said, a small smile playing on her lips. You learn not to be picky.
"True, but Im with King. Im sick of crappy gas station food. This will hopefully be a nice change," Jev commented, sliding into the booth next to Alyssa.
Shiloh shrugged before sitting down by the window. She picked up a menu and started scanning through it. Good news was, it didn't appear expensive. Downside, the pictures of the food didnt look too promising. She couldnt tell if it was showing a cheese burger or macaroni.
Jev also grabbed a menu, looking over the not so many options. "At least I hope it's edible," he mumbled as the young waitress came over to take their orders.
Alyssa quickly scanned the menu before deciding to get a grilled cheese.
"Um...guys i can't see the menu..." He said, frowning as he held the menu in his hands, upside down. He put the menu down and sighed, "I hate this...hopefully the food makes up for this..."
"Don't worry King, I've got you." Jev said before turning to the waitress. "I'll have six cheeseburgers, two grilled cheese sandwhiches, three baskets of fries, and two lemonades." he said, having also ordered for King.
"I'll have a grilled cheese and cheesy fries!" She told the waitres.
King grinned, "Thanks Jev, don't know what if do without you guys." He said as he waited for the food to come.
"You can get more than that if you want Alyssa," Jev said, handing the waitress back the menus and ignoring the shocked look the she was giving him.
Alyssa shook her head. "No, I'll be good." She promised.
Shiloh spilled out her order before handing her menu to the waitress. She leaned back in her chair and gave Alyssa a look. "Just a grilled cheese, only a grilled cheese," she muttered, shaking her head back and for slowly. Her mouth quirked into a grin.
"What's so funny?!" She asked Shiloh, raising an eyebrow.
"Well for starters, that is such a girly thing to do. "Im watching my weight."" Jev teased in a mock girl voice. "And second, you're a bird kid, you've got to be hungrier than that." he said in a quieter tone.
"I'm not watching my weight, I'm watching money. And I said, I will be fine. Besides, if I'm dying of hunger, I can steal some of your food."
Shiloh grinned and shrugged. "Excuses, excuses," she mock scolded. "Oh, and paws off my food. Even if you are dying."
"Fine then!" She mock-pouted. "Party poopers."
She scrunched up her face, but decided not to respond.
Jev laughed softly. "C'mon Lissa, we're just messin with you." he said, nudging her gently with his elbow.
She giggled and playfully punched his shoulder. "You're still a party pooper."
"Your still not getting any of my food, kidding or not," Shiloh mumbled, her fingers twirling a fork that was placed in front of her absentmindedly.
The waitress came back a few minutes with their extensive order. It took her three trips to get all their stuff to them. "Thanks," he said with a charming smile before digging in.
Alyssa grinned and she began to eat her grilled cheese and cheesy fries.
Jev placed King's food in front of him before he began to eat his own. He was glad there wern't many people in here, just the waitress, a cook, and an old truck driver at the counter. That way he didn't have to be super paranoid and he might actually get to enjoy his food.
She took her time eating the food.
Shiloh ate her food in silence. It wasnt actually as bad as she thought it was going to be. Then again, she didnt have high standards, nor was she picky. There were very few people in the diner, so it was easy to keep track of all the movement. She was glad that the diner was close to deserted, but it also left her worried. If someone unexpected showed up, they would be spotted right away.
Jev could see it in Shiloh's eyes that she too was keeping her eyes open and staying alert in case anything bad happend. Just like him. No wonder he trusted her so much, she was a lot like him in many ways.
Alyssa finished eating and she doodled on a napkin.
Shiloh had drained her beverage and cleared her plates. Yes plates, she was going to order enough food to make her stomach ache, not just satisfy. "So, anyone have any ideas where to head after this?" she asked smoothly, breaking the silence that had seemed to surround the table in its own bubble.
Alyssa was completely in her own little world as she painted on the napkin. She dipped her pinkie into some ketchup and used it to paint.
Jev continued eating, now on his fourth hamburger, before shrugging. "I was thinking California," he said before finishing off his third basket of fries.
Alyssa swirled it around on the napkin to create a spiral effect.
Shiloh thought about it for a second, thinking about the pros and cons before responding. "I don't think it's a bad idea," she agreed, nodding. "Any particular reason for California, or was it just a guess," she asked curiously
She didn't even hear them as she kept painting on the napkin.
Jev finished his food before answering. "You guys might not like this, but I want to look into some information the School might have." he said, knowing he had to tell them sooner of later.
Alyssa immediately stopped painting. "Y-you do?"
Shiloh nodded thoughtfully. Since she had joined the flock, she has spent less time opposing the school and one light organizations. Which she felt bad about, but she was sick of being alone. It wasn't as glamorous as everyone thought. Only you and your thoughts, it made her shudder. "I like it," she decided.
