Shiloh nodded to Ray. "How long have you been out of the school for?" she asked curiously, learn more about her and then she could determine whether or not Ray could be trusted.

Jev knew what Shiloh was doing becasue he had done the same. Firing off questions that would better help to determine if Ray could be trusted. Jev didn't fully trust her, at least not yet. You didn't survive outside of the School by easily trusting the first mutant you met.
Alyssa bit her lip. She was just getting more upset, the longer she sat there. She was so upset that the water bottle sitting on the other side of the table exploded.
Lowering her hand to her lap, Ray shrugged. "Three years," she answered, not minding the questions very much. When the water bottle exploded, she jumped and looked over at Alyssa, thinking, Was that because of me? It was an honest answer, I swear!
Alyssa jumped slightly, being startled by her own powers.
Shiloh was about to ask Ray a few more questions when the water bottle exploded. She got sprayed with a little bit of water, but all it did was irritate her. "What the heck," she mumbled
Alyssa grumbled under her breath and she cleaned up the water.
Jev glanced over at Alyssa, having a feeling she was the reason the bottle had exploded, but said nothing. instead he grabbed a towel that was looped through the fridge's handle to wipe away the water. "She's been out longer than any of us," he said quietly to Shiloh so only she could hear. "Perhaps she could be useful."
"I've got it." Alyssa mumbled and she quickly mopped up the water with the towel.
Shiloh stood still, giving no indication that she had heard Jev, but she did. Thats for sure. She had a feeling that he was just saying that because he wanted to keep her around, now he was giving a reason. "Maybe." Was all she mumbled, she would have to think it over before she gave a solid answer.
"Hey, I got it Lissa," Jev said continuing his clean up of the water. "Don't worry about it." A faint smile flashed across his features towards Alyssa, who he'd just now noticed seemed to be upset about his and Shiloh's fight. He said nothing in response to Shiloh, he only resumed his position of leaning against the wall.
Alyssa nodded and she took a shaky breath. "Thanks." She mumbled.
((Ray should mention the pictures of Jev. ;))
((Ray should mention the pictures of Jev. ;))
Whether Ray was useful or not, it didn't matter to Shiloh. If Ray could be trusted, she was in. If she turned out to be working for the school, then she was dead meat. So determining if Ray is trustworthy should solve their problem on if she she should stay. She could talk to Jev and see if he detected anything from Rays mind that is anything out of the ordinary.
((Hmm..she should. But how? Btw, expect me to disappear. I have a lot of Rps to respond to. And I'm tired.))
((I dunno. Maybe mention it to Alyssa or something but like everyone hears and alright!))
((No probs Iz, just don't leave us for too long ;) ))Jev pushed off the wall and strode past Shiloh. "I've already asked her everything you're thinking," he said, already knowing her next questions without having to read her mind. "And no, I didn't have read your mind." he said as he walked past her and over to where he'd left his bag sitting on the other side of the room.
Shiloh frowned, wondering if he was able to guess what she was thinking that easily, or lied about reading her mind. Nonetheless, she followed him to the other side of the room. Once out of earshot, or as close as possible, she spoke. "Can we trust her? You say you can read minds, what did you get from hers? Anything worth worrying about?"
Jev shook his head, "Nothing suspcious or out of the ordinary," he said, opening up his bag to find his wallet. "She hasn't lied to me, or you for that matter, yet. Also, she told me she gets glimpses of the future, that she had had a vision of Alyssa, King, and myself rushing King to the hospital."
Shiloh nodded, not seeing how Ray could easily make that up. "Nothing worth digging into? No suspicions anywhere?" The questions were rhetorical, not meant to be answered. Just corrected if she was wrong. "She doesn't sound too bad. I think we can keep her around, but watch her closely for the first few days. Just in case."
"But you already think that we can trust Weston?" Jev asked, arching an eyebrow as he looked Shiloh in the eyes, an expression of innocence on his face. "Because I think I got the memo when we decided to make important decisions on our own when you decided to befriend Weston."
"I never said that," Shiloh said and scowled. If Jev trusted her, he should also be able to trust her judgment. She wanted to slap that look of innocence off his face, but kept her arms loosely at her side. "I'm my own person and I can think and make decisions on my own. I see you befriended Ray without any help or consultant."
"Yes, but that was after I saw you with your new boyfriend." Jev countered quickly, his expression unreadable, almost bored. "And are you sure?" he asked, now mock frowning. "Because I could have sworn you'd given it to me right after I had a little talk with Mr. Unemotional."
Alyssa curled up in her seat, avoiding all of her conversations.
Shiloh sighed, knowing he was just trying to get a rise out of her. Why did he care so much about Weston anyways? It seemed like the fights always incinerated when Jev brought Weston into this. Ignoring his first comment, she went on to address the second. "And what would have suggested that I gave you permission to make friends? When you marched away into the hotel? You shouldn't need permission to make buddies. Your a big boy."
"My point exactly," Jev said, resuming his hunt for his wallet once more. "As you said put it, I am a 'big boy', and I would never just bring Ray into our hotel room if I hadn't already drilled her with questions." he said, finally pulling out his wallet and stuffing it into the back pocket of his jeans. "She's clean Shiloh, trust me on that." he said, no longer messing with her or being sarcastic, he was serious.
Shiloh sighed and crossed her arms. "I know, I believed you when you said she was clean. Don't worry about that," she said calmly, shifting from one foot to the other. "We think a like, or closely alike. do you think I would have kept Weston around if I thought he was with the school?"
Jev stayed silent for several moments, thinking is answer over carefully. "I guess I just wanted a little more of a heads up than 'hey this is Weston, I just met him on a bench', then a lovely conversation with the guy to really make me trust him." he admitted after a moment. "I mean, did you even hear what he was saying to me? The guy seems like a self-centered jerk."
Shiloh shrugged apologetically. "Some of us are new to this whole introducing or just people thing," she said, running a hand through her dark hair. "This coming from the guy who never takes off his pair of aviator glasses," she mumbled before quickly continuing as if she had never said anything. "Actually he sounds like a bit of a smart ass, but that's just me," she noted and grinned.
Jev rolled his eyes at her remark about him, though he chose to ignore it. "Hey now, if he sounded like a smart ass he would sound like me," he said, crossing his arms over his chest and grinning slightly. "Well that makes things much clearer, I can see what attracted you to him in the first place. He reminds you of someone." He smirked, a lazy look apon his face.
She frowned, looking down. Alyssa had a feeling that Jev had feelings for Ray and that hurt her. She was jealous. Alyssa felt unwanted and invisible in the flock.
((Off for the night. Adios!))Shiloh rolled her eyes. "Your an ass, you know that?" She stated plainly. "There is no smart where you're concerned." She looked back at the group in the kitchen, so far no one was trying to kill each other. So that was good, right. At that statement she scowled. She didn't feel the need to say it , but she decided to state it anyway. "I'm not attracted to him. It appears that I'm surrounded by donkeys. Maybe Ray will be scared off. Speaking of which have you told her we are going to the school?"
((Night Madsies, Im off as well :3 Gotta get that beauty sleep))Jev smirked, "Didn't I ever tell you? Smart is my middle name." he said with a slight shrug, as if that proved her wrong. "Oh, so you don't deny the fact that you were, and quite possibley are, attracted to me." he said, a smug yet playful smile on his lips. Nodding solemnly, his expression got serious. "I did tell her, I also told her the same thing I was planning on telling King and Alyssa. That if they don't want to go back they don't have too. We both know how dangerous this is, and I don't want them going in if they aren't confidant that they'll make it out."
Truth is, Alyssa was terrified to go into the school, but she wasn't going to be a chicken and back out.
"Nahhh, go ahead and call yourself that if it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside," she said calmly. It was strange how Jev could go from joking to serious in a matter or seconds. "And what did she say?" she said, her voice hushed even though there was a chance, likely chance, that she couldn't be heard. Shiloh didn't want anyone coming if they were scared. If they were scared it unsure, they would hesitate in the moment. And she couldn't afford that.
"She said she'd come," Jev said with a shrug. "Though at first she thought I was crazy for going back. But when I told her why we're going, to destroy the place, she said she'd help." With a shrug of his shoulders, he looked at Shiloh to read her expression. That wasn't the only reason they were going there, but nobody else knew his motive.
Shiloh nodded, yeah, that was their reason. She didn't know about him, but she had some other intentions. Yeah, it would be great to take down the school, but honestly, it would take a lot more than a few bird kids to do it. She needed a few things from inside. Why was he watching her like that? He wasn't reading her mind was he? "So when should we leave and how should we plan on going in?"
While the two apparent leaders talked, Ray looked over at Alyssa, then cautiously went over and sat beside her in one of the chairs. "Hi," she greeted, she herself knowing how lame that sounded.
"Hi." She mumbled softly looking at her. Alyssa's eyes were red and puffy.
"I was thinking we leave tonight, that way it'll be less likely for us to be spotted." Jev said, taking his bag and setting it on the ground. "And as for getting in...I have to idea. But I never said that, alright?" he said, knowing Shiloh knew what he ment.
Ray frowned at Alyssa, but didn't ask if she was alright. It was clear enough that she wasn't. She chewed on his lower lip, then confessed softly, "I saw your drawings."
Her breath hitched in her throat and she paled over. Alyssa swallowed the lump in her throat. "Y..you did?!"
"Yeah," Ray confirmed, nodded slightly and resisting the urge to raise her hands in a gesture of 'Don't kill me'. Weakly, she joked, "Eagle eyes," though she wouldn't be surprised if Alyssa didn't understand.
Alyssa nodded, her extreme intelligence helping her understand.
Shiloh smiled and nodded. "You never said that and I never heard a thing," she said with a shrug. "Tonight sounds good. Just want to make sure the rest of the flock is ready to go."
Ray bit her lip again, then tilted her head slightly, studying Alyssa. "Why were you drawing him?" she asked quietly, keeping her voice down.
She bit her lip nervously. "I...I...I think...."
"I'll let everyone know the plan," Jev said, uncrossing his arms and strolling over to the kitchen type area. "Hey guys, just letting you know we're leaving tonight. When it gets dark that is, better cover." he said, looking from Ray to Alyssa and back again.
Alyssa nodded nervously. "Alright."
Shiloh nodded and watched Jev go into the kitchen. She just had to find a point to break away from everyone in the flock and not get noticed. Or caught by the whitecoats. There was a pretty big price on her head, dead or alive.
