message 601: by cecilia (new)

cecilia West remained silent, knowing that he wasn't supposed to answer. It's a question, yes, but a rhetorical one, not meant to be answered. He just shrugged, leaning boredly against the wall.

message 602: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Well, Shiloh hadn't expected him to say nothing. Maybe say something completely different than what she had said. Actually she didn't know what to expect with him anymore. "Where are you headed after this?" she said curiously, sticking her hands in her pocket. "Because if you don't have plans, you could stay with us. Not that it would be any safer," she said with a small grin.

message 603: by cecilia (new)

cecilia West shrugged once more; shrugging was his noncommitial way of showing slight interest, as well as his way of ending a conversation. There really was no knowing with him. "Anywhere the wind takes me," he answered bluntly. "Maybe that's here with you guys, maybe it's not. I guess we'll see."

MOVED - CHECK BIO (izzylightfleur) | 871 comments Sierra [Listening to AC/DC While Driving Makes Me Feel Like Dean] Winchester wrote: ""Well thank you, if I didn't have my confidence I, not sure this plan would work out all too well." Jev said with a laugh. "But in all seriousness, you don't have to come if you don't want to.""

Ray chewed on her lip, then sighed. "No, I'll come." What kind of person would she be if she didn't? And besides, she had a score to settle with them. I just hope I don't have to walk past that cage.

message 605: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard Jev nodded, "Now that you're apart of this flock you're under my protection." he said, completely serious. "I'll keep you safe, so don't worry,"

message 606: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh closed her eyes in slight irritation, but you wouldn't know that. "So would you want to stay with us, maybe just to test it out? If your not satisfied with thirty days of your trial, you can get your money back guaranteed," she said opening her eyes and looking at him. He acted as though nothing bothered him, as though he didn't care about anything: emotionless.

message 607: by cecilia (new)

cecilia West offered a sly smile, knowing her emotions without even trying. "You're irritated," he stated bluntly. "So I may just try it..." he grinned, crossing his arms over his chest. "Money back guarantee, too. Deal."

message 608: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh huffed and frowned, crossing her arms over her chest as well. smart ass she grumbled to herself before flashing an cunning smile. "Of course, we only care of your satisfaction," she said before motioning him with a nod of her head to the direction of the hotel.

message 609: by cecilia (new)

cecilia "Of course," West agreed with a smirk, following Shiloh into the hotel. If she was going to accept him without murder, maybe he was onto something. Though, of course, she could be plotting his death right then. He'd know that, though, so he wasn't too worried.

message 610: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh decided to take the stairs up to the room the flock was staying in rather than the elevator, for obvious reasons. Being a bird kid meant claustrophobia, which sucked. The last person she thought she'd see there was Alyssa, crying. Okay, so crying wasn't new, but why was she out by herself? Shiloh prayed she wouldn't have to comfort her, because she honestly sucked at that. "Alyssa?"

message 611: by [deleted user] (new)

"Y...yeah?" She asked softly, looking up at them.

message 612: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh glanced back at Weston, maybe he would be better in a situation like this. Though, she highly doubted it. Odds were, he sucked just as bad as she did in a moment related to this. "Ummm," she started slowly, feeling as though she were in some sob movie: trapped. "What's up?"

message 613: by [deleted user] (new)

"Everything." Alyssa mumbled, tears streaming down her cheeks.

message 614: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh bit her lip and coughed slightly, rubbing her hand at the base of her neck. "Okay?" she said slowly, assuming that Alyssa didn't want to talk about it if she didn't specifically say what was wrong. "Why don't we head inside and get something to eat," she offered slowly, sticking her hands in her pockets in the end.

message 615: by [deleted user] (new)

"Alright." She stood up shakily.

message 616: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh nodded slowly. "Good good," she mumbled before heading up the rest of the stairs and onto their floor. What room was it again? There it was! Toward the end of the hall. She remembered that she didn't have a key and felt utterly stupid and humiliated knocking. It didn't seem like her, but what was she supposed to do? Break down the door? Not if the flock wanted to continue staying here.

message 617: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa stared at the floor, nervous in case Jev answered the door.

message 618: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard Jev gave Ray a reassuring smile before standing up to answer the door. Before he unlocked it he looked through the peek hole. When he saw Alyssa, Shiloh, and Shiloh's boyfriend he unlocked and opened the door. "Hey, you remembered the room number."

message 619: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa looked down to hide the tears that were continuing to flow down her cheeks. "Y...yeah, we did."

message 620: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh smiled slyly at Jev and nodded. "And I see you remembered to shower, I think we both deserve gold stars," she said before heading past him and into the hotel room. It was big and the first thing she noticed was the kitchen, hopefully there was food. The second thing she noticed was the girl, a girl she didn't recognize.

message 621: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard Jev rolled his eyes, smirking slightly as he turned and followed after Shiloh. "I also see you're boyfriend decided to stay," he said quietly, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning against the counter to watch her.

message 622: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh didn't even hear what he had said, her eyes and thoughts were on the girl. "Who's she?" she asked him, finally turning to look over at him.

message 623: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard "An old friend, lover actually." Jev lied, his piercing blue eyes looking right at Shiloh. "How did you meet Mr. Unemotional?" he asked, not taking his eyes off of her.

message 624: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa looked up at Jev, her eyes bloodshot and puffy. "C...can I take a shower?"

message 625: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) "Huh," Shiloh huffed and raised her eyebrows, for some reason he didn't think he was telling the truth. She didn't see Jev ever having a lover, but maybe she was being spiteful. She never knew much about him anyways. "You have them all lining up now don't you," she said and grinned, meeting his gaze evenly. "Oh you know when you guys all ran off? Yeah, an hour ago? Ran into him and he gave me directions."

message 626: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard Jev arched an eyebrow, holding her gaze as well. "I seem to recall that it was you who left us to do whatever it was you did. Where did you run off to anyways?" he asked, always finding ways to keep the questions off of him.

message 627: by [deleted user] (new)

Great, now he's just ignoring me! Alyssa thought to herself. Fresh tears poured down her cheeks and she burst into the bathroom. She put her head in her hands and got in the shower.

message 628: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) "'Left you to do whatever it is that I do?'" Shiloh demanded, crossing her arms across her chest. "I'm sorry, I was trying to find out where the hell we were and, oh I don't know, get food because we have been living in a cave for quite some time. I figured people may want to eat," she said calmly with a shrug, taking her backpack off her back and dumping its contents out onto the counter; canned goods. Luckily she had remembered to but her items into a side pocket so they wouldn't see.

message 629: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard Jev glanced at the food stuff that had poured out of her bag, but something told him thats not all she had got. "You know Shiloh," he said, and he rarely said her name when talking to her. "I can read minds, but I don't read yours out of respect. So I'd hope you don't lie to me for the same reason."

message 630: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa scrubbed all the dust and dirt off of her violently with a sponge. She was scrubbing so hard that she left little scratches on herself. She finished and got out, changing into the other pair of clothes that she had. She braided her hair into a messy side braid and walked out of the bathroom. Alyssa was trying to stop crying, but she couldn't. She quietly sat down at one of the chairs in the kitchen and began to sketch silently.

message 631: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) That just proved how little she knew about him. Shiloh had not known he could read minds, and why would he want to tell? It would be something to use against them. She leaned on her hands, leaning towards him, her dark hair falling into her face. "I don't tell you the truth because I respect you. I tell you what I do because it's what you earn," she said evenly and picked up her bag, draping it across her forearm.

message 632: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa tried her hardest to ignore Jev and Shiloh. She cried silently and drew in her sketchbook.

message 633: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard "What I earn?" Jev repeated, his tone casual despite the anger he was feeling. "So you haven't been telling me the whole truth, why not?" he asked boredly. "What do I have to do to earn it?"

message 634: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh sighed and rolled her eyes. "Calm down, I never said I wasn't telling you the truth," she said and rested her elbows on the back of the counter. "As to earning things," she started. "Nothing is ever given freely whether you realize it or not ."

message 635: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard Jev sighed boredly as he ran a hand through his semi-damp hair. "Cut the bull shit and stop skirtting around the question. I've known you long enough to trust you completely, but now Im learning you apparently don't trust me with the same amount certainty.

message 636: by [deleted user] (new)

"Just stop fighting!" Alyssa shrieked at them.

message 637: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh rolled her eyes. "Why do you expect honestly from me if you don't even do it yourself?" she questioned, knowing how to get information she needed by simple questions. "I don't see how that's fair."

message 638: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard "What the hell are you talking?" Jev asked, quickly losing his patience with her. Glancing at Alyssa he felt bad for arguing in front of her, but that wasn't his main concern at the moment.

message 639: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh glanced at Alyssa, but her focus laid elsewhere. She shrugged in her direction, as close to an apology she got. Turning her gaze back to Jev she rolled her eyes. "Everyone has their own secrets, you can't demand more from us than your willing to do yourself," she stated, bluffing of course. She didn't know what he was hiding , if anything, but there had to be something. Starting with the girl in the apartment with them

message 640: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa refused to wipe her tears away. "Fine. Just go ahead and ignore me." She whispered and curled up in her chair.

message 641: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard Jev sighed, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand slowly. "Sure, we all have secrets." he agreed, his tone returning to a casual volume. "But it seems to me that your secret could potentailly put us in danger. Look at what happened when you left us today, we got seperated." Of course he was being a complete hypocrite but he didn't really care.

message 642: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh scowled shaking her head. "You can't blame getting separated on me," she huffed, frowning. He kept avoiding her questioning and turning it back to her. It wasn't her fault that king had to go to the hospital. "If your so sure about what your accusing me of, then why don't you read my mind and find out? No ones stopping you. I don't see myself hammering your secret with my fist. Just drop it."

message 643: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa cried even harder and she put her head in between her knees. She hated when people fought and Alyssa was developing feelings for Jev, which ruined everything.

MOVED - CHECK BIO (izzylightfleur) | 871 comments Ray just sat on one of the hotel room's beds, watching the argument between the two flock members with raised brows. Nice flock you guys got there, she thought silently, but didn't say aloud. She looked away and over at Alyssa, who looked like she was going make the hotel a new pool with how much she was crying.

message 645: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa looked over at Shiloh and Jev. She was about to slap the both of them for fighting, but she decided that it wouldn't be a smart idea to hit the leader and the second in command of the flock.

message 646: by Sierra (new)

Sierra Ard Jev was about to do what Shiloh had given him permisson to do, read her mind, but then he hear Ray's thought first. Sighing softly to himself he decided to drop it. "This is getting us no where." he said. "Lets just drop it." he said with a shrug. "This is Ray by the way, I only just met her today. Like you meeting Weston."

message 647: by Maddy (new)

Maddy Sloma (Wierenga) Shiloh frowned slightly at his sudden change of attitude, but didn't question it. "Alright," she said plainly, drop it for now because if she knew anything, arguments didnt always end so smoothly. Shiloh turned her head to the girl, Ray, and nodded in a 'hello.' So, Jev had lied when he said she was an old friend. "Hey Ray."

message 648: by [deleted user] (new)

She rolled her eyes at them and looked at the table.

message 649: by MOVED - CHECK BIO (new)

MOVED - CHECK BIO (izzylightfleur) | 871 comments Ray held up a hand, flashing a peace sign at the girl Jev had been arguing with. "Yo," she greeted, grinning faintly.

message 650: by [deleted user] (new)

Alyssa stayed silent, refusing to look at anyone.
