Ray almost told him, but thought better of it. Instead, she smirked up at him and said, "I'll tell you mine if you promise to tell me your's. Otherwise, it's just not fair, now is it?"

Smart girl, she definitely had something to hide, Jev thought, a faint smirk appearing on his lips. "Jev, my name is Jev." he said simply, crossing his arms over his chest. "Your turn,"
"Well, Jev, my name is Ray," Ray replied, finding their conversation slightly amusing. "Now are you going to tell me what you think your friend meant or are we just going to stand in this hall?"
"Ray," Jev repeated, "Nice name." he commented. "Whats wrong with standing in the hall? I find it rather enjoyable," he said with a shrug, avoiding the question as long as he could. Hoping she would drop it and he could get out of here.
Ray realized that he'd avoided her question and hadn't given her an answer, but didn't point that out. It was what she'd do if someone was asking her these same questions. Was that a good sign? "Well then, you can enjoy yourself in this hallway while you tell me your answer."
Jev closed his eyes for a moment as he sighed deeply. Opening his eyes, he pushed off the wall and walked over to Ray. Standing directly in front of her, he placed his hand over her head and against the wall. "What does the word School mean to you?" he asked, leaning down slightly since he was much taller then her, his voice low.
((Sierra! :D ))Ray's eyes darted away, glancing over at where a fly was buzzing. It was a small thing, easy to ignore, but she looked over at it anyway at the word 'School', avoiding eye-contact. Manipulation, she thought. "Trickery. Prison. A bunch of jerks who are evil for a living."
((Hey Iz!!! XD))"Thats what I thought," Jev said, still leaning over her, his arm rested on the wall directly above her head. "When and which one did you escape from?" he asked, his eyes never leaving hers.
((YES! YOU'RE STILL ON! *tackles*))Looking away from the insect, Ray looked up at him as she answered, "Thirteen, the one in California." She raised an eyebrow at him and said, "I'm guessing that you're from one of 'em too?"
((Haha yes I am! *stands up and jumps up and down with joy* Had to let my stupid phone charge DX))Jev arched an eyebrow, "Thirteen, that seems pretty young, how old are you now?" he asked, staying away from her questions. It was best that way. To not give up too much information until he knew he could trust her.
((Stupid phone.))Even though he didn't answer, Ray silently guessed that he was from one. How else would he know about the School? He has to be the one from my vision. Has to be, she thought. "Sixteen," she answered, keeping her gaze on Jev. "Any more questions?"
((It is very stupid indeed))Jev leaned in a little bit more, "Yeah, are you working for them?" he asked, his tone casual enough but with a slight threatening undertone. If she was working for the School he would find out.
"Like hell," Ray answered immediately, a scowl appearing on her face. "I'd rather drop dead." Her tone made it clear that she was speaking the truth, the words filled with disgust and loathing.
A faint half smile spread across Jev's lips. "Good, I'd hate to have to hurt you." he said, the smile spreading slightly. It was just then that he really looked at her, not caring that he was staring at her. "So Ray, where are you heading?" he asked, taking his hand off the wall and taking a step back from her.((Awwww :'( Bye!))
Alyssa grabbed her sketch pad and she curled up in the corner of the room, terrified that Jev was mad at her.
Ray was pretty sure she'd guessed right. He and his friends had to be from the School! And the girl had mentioned being tested on and wings. She had to fight the ridiculous urge to grin now. She'd finally found the people from her vision. "Hopefully, anywhere put Texas," she answered Jev. She leaned against the wall, crossing her ankles. "I was looking for you guys. Thank you for saving me a trip across a desert."
Jev arched an eyebrow as he fixed her with a curious look. "You were looking for us?" he asked, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jeans.
"Yep," Ray answered with a nod of her head. She grinned at him feeling relieved and a bit excited. "I've been in this town for a few days, hoping I'd find you and your group. If you hadn't been here, I would have had to go to Texas."
Ray's grin grew slightly at his questions. She wiggled her fingers at him, whispering, "I tell the future." Then she laughed and stuffed her hands in her pockets as she explained, "Well, not exactly tell. I dream it. I had a vision- When was it? Last week? -and saw a few people running down a sidewalk, along with feathers. There was a sign that I could make out in the background and, batta bing batta boom, here I am."
"That should come in handy," Jev said, mostly to himself. The more he talked, or more like questioned, to Ray the more he felt she was someone that could be trusted. "So now that you've found me, what do you plan to do?"
Ray bit the inside of her cheek, quiet for a moment, then answered with a question. "Would you let me join your.." she grasped for the right word to call his group. 'Mutant Club' probably wouldn't be the best one, "flock?"
Jev's first thought was to say that he'd need to check with the flock first, but then he remembered that Shiloh hadn't exactly asked him about her new friend she was strolling around with. "I don't see why not," he said with a slight shrug.
Letting out a breath she hadn't known she'd been holding, Ray's shoulder slumped with relief. "Thank you," she told him, thankful. She'd started to hate being alone, but she couldn't hang out with the normal people too long with Erasers trying to track down a lost mutant. Being with others who were like her was too tempting to pass up, especially after three years.
"No problem," Jev said with a slight smile. "Which room are you in?" he asked, running a hand through his black hair.((Ahhh, they're gonn be such a cute couple XD))
((I'm loving every minute of this. XD ))Ah, yes. The room she'd been on the way to a few minutes ago. "One-oh-five," she answered him, feeling at ease. "What 'bout you?"
"Right across from you actually," Jev said smoothly, pulling out the key card to show her. "Do you want to meet the rest of us?" he asked, sliding the card through its slot and opening the door.
((They're super cute. Do you mind if Alyssa gets jealous to add more drama later on?))
Alyssa sniffled and she wiped away a stray tear as she sketched. She curled up tighter in the corner, believing that Jev was mad at her for telling Ray that they were mutants.

"Well, that's a coincidence," Ray stated, watching him open the door to the room with a slight smirk. "And sure, I don't see why not."
((Sounds good to me :3))Jev held the door open for Ray, allowing her to enter before him. "Hey Alyssa, I believe you've already met Ray." he said when he saw her sketching.
((Bum bum bum bum bum!))
Alyssa nodded slowly, not looking up from her sketch pad. "Yeah."
Alyssa nodded slowly, not looking up from her sketch pad. "Yeah."
Ray happily grinned at the girl from earlier. So her name's Alyssa, she thought. Good to know. "I'm glad you talked to me in the hall," she told her. "Otherwise I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have found you guys."
"Y-you were looking for us?" She stammered, dropping her pencil.
"Yep," Ray answered, popping the 'P'. She gestured to Jev, saying, "I explained it to your friend in the hallway."
She nodded slowly and didn't allow herself to look at Jev. "That's good...." Alyssa picked up her pencil and kept sketching.
"Ray can see the future," Jev said as he grabbed a soda out of the mini fridge. "Which should come in handy if we ever need to make a quick bucl." he joked.
She nodded. "Cool powers. I have extreme intelligence and I can control fire and water." Alyssa mumbled, her naturally curly hair tumbling down her back.
((Sorry for late response, guys. For the rest of the day, expect me to disappear.))Ray rolled her eyes at Jev's comment, then focused on Alyssa. "That's awesome," she said with a smile, though it took her a moment to make out what Alyssa had said. "Extreme intelligence sounds like it'd come in handy."
"It does." She nodded slowly, still not looking at Jev.
((Aww, don't disapear Iz :3))Jev drank half the can of soda before seeting it down on the nightstand next to one of the beds. Ray seemed pretty excited to be here with them, made him wonder how long it had been since she'd been with another escapee from the School. Of course he could always just read her mind and find out, but when he tried it was...difficult for some reason.
Alyssa set her sketch pad down and pulled her knees to her chest. She couldn't help but think that Jev was mad with her.
Shiloh watched Jev go inside, scowling though she was used to him calling her names. It was just how it was. And she couldn't deny that the names for, some of them.... "If you don't have anywhere to stay, I suppose you could stay with us," she offered Weston slowly. It was quite the interesting convo that he and Jev had. Which she found amusing, listening to.
((Trying to make a character for another flock and can't decide on blonde or black hair. Opinions?))Ray watched Alyssa, frowning slightly and unsure what to say to girl. She wasn't acting like she had been in the hallway, but maybe that was normal. Of course, she wouldn't know. Instead of speaking to Alyssa again, she looked over at Jev, tilting her head slightly, her blonde hair falling over her shoulder. "What about you? Got any powers or is it just the wings?"
She put her head in her lap, staying silent.
((Black.))
((Black.))
((I love both. I have both blonde and black haired charries. Take Shiloh for example her face claim is Anna Speckhart (my fave black hair FC) but I also like blonde. Hmmm it depends on her personality I'd say))
((I personaly like black, but it would depend on their personality))Jev smirked before finishing off his soda. To tell or not to tell, that was the question that was in need of an answer. After all he had only just met the girl. Probably wasn't to smart to start blabbing away all his secrets. So instead he just turned invisible. "Nope, just the wings," he said, smirking even though she couldn't see him.
