Route 1 & Capturing PkMn Guide ( All Regions)

"A Pidgey, huh?" Will asked, looking at the bird. "What do you say Pyro? Want a friend?" The fire type squeaked in eagerness. "Alright, then I'll try and catch it."

"Pyro, use Ember!" Will commanded, and the Cyndaquil sucked in a breath, then spat out small flames at the Pidgey.

Will put the Pokeball back on his belt, happy about his first catch.
Star clapped "Good job" she smiled

Will smiled at Star, then walked to the 1st field, row 5, column 2.

Here's how to catch pokemon. You say a one of a patch of tall grass's location, (say, 2nd field, 1st patch from the right, column three) and I'll use those numbers and tell you if there's a pokemon there, what pokemon it is, and what level. If you don't want to catch it, you etihter battlt it, or run away. a MOD will act as the wild pokemon. If you want to catch it, you will battle it as usual, lowering its HP until you are satisfied. Then, you will choose a pokeball and a MOD will calculate the catch number and roll a die. If it's higher than the pokemon's catch number,((will be explained)) you will be able to throw a pokeball and catch it.
CATCH NUMBER
To catch a pokemon, the MOD you are playing with will roll a die, and if the die's number is higher than the catch number calculated, you will get the pokemon. The catch number is basically calculated by the rarity of the pokemon, the level of the pokemon, the remaining HP of the pokemon, and the pokeball you use to capture it. This is how you calculate it.
