I've read quite a few of Phillips books. All are good. I loved the Stonewycke Trilogy set in Scotland. He also re-edited many George MacDonald books into modern day language. They are the best!

I'm hoping to read 39 Steps in the next fortnight. There's a theatre show of it in London's West End that my son bought tickets for, as a Christmas present for my wife and myself. I need to read it before 8th Feb!

Good for moving up! Much easier to do than you first thought, huh? You don't have to post on both here and the blog, JoAnne, but its okay if you do!

It was a good combo! Thanks partly to stories of Sorche Nic Leodhas(many thanks to the person who suggested them), and some shorter things etc........hello Ben Nevis!!!!!! Don't know if a double Ben Nevis is possible but certainly Ben Nevis plus maybe one of the mid-levels is possible.

Double Ben Nevis! Absolutely possible! I might aim for it now!

The Woman Who Walked into the Sea (Sea Detective)
Mark Douglas-Home
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, 'The Sea Detective', so I was keen to read this one. I enjoyed it, but I felt this one wasn't quite as good, so I was a little disappointed. But still a good read.
