Ari smiled and rolled her eyes. "It doesn't matter, you deserve it. Just open it!" She said excitedly as she sat down next to it and invited him over.

He went and sat down next to her with a sigh "ok fine" he said and started to unwrap it gently, not wanting to rip the paper. Once he opened it and saw the electric guitar his face lit up and he gave Ari a massive hug "Ari i can't believe you got me an Electric guitar" he said
Ari smiled and hugged him tightly. "I knew you've been wanting one for awhile, so I saved up to get it for you." She murmured sweetly and kissed his cheek. When she pulled out of the hug, her shoulder showed a bit more and the marks were coming a little darker, though she hadn't noticed them even though they were visible at the moment.
He pulled back and his eyes fell on her shoulder. There, crawling up her neck were dark, swirly mate marks. His jaw dropped and he gently reached over and pulled her shirt sleeve off her shoulder. He had now forgotten about the guitar and his mind was racing with possibilities.
Ari raised an eyebrow at his actions until she glanced down at her arm, "What the.... I didn't see those earlier!" She said in shock. "What are you doing? Is something wrong?" She asked in a panicked tone as he looked at the marks on her neck and arm.
He pulled back, still starring at the markings "where... Where did you get those?" He asked quietly, not believing his eyes. Surely it couldn't be possible.
Ari shrugged, "I don't know... I think they just showed up today. What's so special about them?" She murmured as she looked down at them.
He finally drew his eyes away from them an looked up at her face "your not freaked out that they just... Showed up?" He asked with confusion, he would have expected her to wonder how they got there and why they had all of the sudden appeared on her body but she seemed fine.
Ari raised an eyebrow, "I kind've am, but I'm a little more shocked right now to be able to think anything. Not like you would know why they're there anyways." She said and sighed as she pulled her shirt sleeve back up.
Zach shook his head at her assumption "i know almost exactly why they are there Ari" he said softly. He put the guitar gently on the coffee table and lifted his shirt over his head, revealing his well toned stomach and matching marks.
Ari tried to force herself not to look at his abs, and focused more on the marks. "Wait... They're the same? What's going on here Zach... There's something you're hit telling me."
He sighed "no, they're not the exact same but they fit together like a puzzle. Its so hard to explain Ari. I wouldn't even know where to start" he said, bitting his lip. He had no idea what to tell her or how far this would stretch their relationship.
Ari looked at him knowingly. "You can tell me anything Zach, come on. Please." She begged as she looked at him with puppy dog eyes. They always worked on him.
He tried not to look at her puppy dog eyes but it didn't work "fine... But not here... We need to go someplace else" he said thoughtfully "like my house" he slipped his shirt back on, he knew that she knew it was serious now. She had never been over to his house for obvious reasons but this changed everything.
Ari smiled and took his hand, "Cool. As long as your family aren't a bunch of bank robbers, then I'm fine. Or if you live in a gang..." She started drifting off slightly and bit her lip. "Sorry. Let's just go."
He took her hand and his new guitar and they headed out to his car. He laughed at her comment "no not back robbers but 'gang' as you put it, could be similar." He said, then his face turned serious "Ari please just promise me that even if i seem crazy you'll try to believe because you know i would never ever lie to you"
Ari nodded, "I promise." She said and squeezed his hand just before she got into the car next to him. She was starting to get a bit anxious as to what was going on.
((Gtg to bed sorry))They drove to his house and he took her through the massive house and into the back garden. Several of his cousins and relatives gave Ari strange glances but he shot them glares which they quickly submitted to. They walked through the back garden and into the woods, all the time Zach held her hand and silently begged her to trust him.
Ari held close to him as she was slightly afraid. "Okay, can you show me yet? Why were they looking at me weird?" She asked in a shaky voice.
((Okay nite))
((Okay nite))
They stopped in a small clearing and he sighed "they're just not used to normal humans coming through here" he said softly "to tell you the truth no human is meant to come here. Thats why i never invited you over here"
Ari raised an eyebrow at him. "H-Human? So you're saying you're not human?" She asked and looked at him worriedly.
((Sorry))Zach hit his palm against his forehead, knowing that he had said the wrong thing. Gently, he took Ari's hand in his and stepped closer to her "Ari i know this sounds weird but remember your promise. Its probably better if i just show you" he said stepping away a little and shifting to his wolf form.
Ari looked down at him and her eyes widened in shock. "Wow.. You're a... A werewolf." She murmured in awe. "What do the marks mean then? How come you kept this a secret from me?" She asked in a hurt tone.
His wolf wined and dropped his head low. He knew the that this was dangerous, given his new ranking and with all the other wolves around but this was his mate and she needed to know he was sorry. He crawled forward on his belly and laid his head of her feet, giving her his best puppy dog eyes.
Ari smiled at his cute behaviour, immediately getting down on her knees so she could pull him into a hug. "Aww it's okay. Just as long as you tell me what these weird marks are all about..." She murmured sweetly and pulled back to look into his eyes with her own big brown ones.
He took a few steps away from her and shifted, becoming a fully clothed human again. But he stayed where he was and waited for her to come to him, not wanting to scare her. He watched her for a second before deciding how to approach the matter "what do you know about wolves?" He asked, tilting his head to the side in question.
Ari but her lip, "Well... They live in packs. They have one mate their entire life... They hunt animals. They live in a hierarchy... There's more but I don't feel like going into detail." She said and sat down with her back against the tree. "Why do you ask?"
Zach stayed standing, not sure if she wanted him to sit next to him "well werewolves are very much the same. We live in pack, have a hierarchy and have one mate our entire lives... But we don't get to choose our mates. They are chosen for us when we are born. And these marks show up when we have found that person" he said quietly, not sure if she would get it.
Ari's eyes widened as she got it immediately. "So... Does this mean.... Does this mean I'm your mate?" She asked in a shaky voice as she looked up at him with a faint blush dusting her cheeks. This couldn't be possible... He was her best friend. Did she have feelings for him? Maybe... She still had to figure that out.
He bit his lip and looked down at the floor "our marks fit perfectly Ari" he said quietly, hoping she wouldn't be too disappointed "i'm sorry but its not my decision its fate"
Ari bit her own lip and got up to run into his arms. "I don't know what to do about it... I thought we were only friends but I was too scared to tell you I liked you as more than one..." She murmured and buried her face in his muscular chest with her arms wrapped around him.
He hugged her back with a little shock, leaning his chin on her head "i know, i know Ari" he cooed "i always wanted to tell you i love you but it was too risky. I knew as soon as i turned 18 i would find my true mate and the reality was that i would have to leave you" he said softly, kissing her head
Ari lifted her head up to look at him, "Now you never have to leave me." She murmured sweetly and got on her toes to kiss his cheek. "So I'm guessing we take our relationship to the next level now, instead of the friend zone?" She asked.
Zach smiled down at her. Slowly he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers with gentle passion, answering her question.
Ari loved the way his lips felt against her own, and kissed him back gently and sweetly. Her arms slowly wrapped around his neck and she stood on her toes so she could kiss him properly.
He wrapped his arms around her little waist and lifted her up gently so she could kiss him easier. He had wanted to do this for years and now, finally he could, and would forever and ever.
Ari smiled through the kiss and gently ran her hands through his smooth black hair. There wasn't anything or anyone she'd rather be song this with. She started to kiss him a little harder as she let out all that she'd been bottling up for years.
As she ran her hands through his hair he felt like he was being touched like an angel. He followed her lead and started to kiss her harder to, picking her up and pinning her against a tree, never breaking the kiss.
Ari felt the tree against her back and immediately wrapped her legs around his waist when he picked her up. Her lips fell in sync with his as the kiss became even more passionate and heated.
He gently pulled back and rested his forehead against hers. He knew that if this went on for much longer than he wouldn't be able to control himself "i love you so so much Ari" he whispered
Ari smiled and looked into his eyes with love. "I love you too." She murmured sweetly and closed her eyes before unwrapping her legs from his waist and standing once more.
They stayed there for a few minutes, just hugging "wanna go meet my family?" He asked. After so many years of knowing each other she now finally was able to.
Ari opened her eyes and smiled. "Of course." She murmured and untangled herself from him. She was a little nervous, "What if they don't like me?"
He pushed a stray lock of hair behind her ear and kissed her cheek lovingly "they will love you. I promise" he said "plus i'm beta now. They have to love and obey me and what is mine" he said the last but with a little bit of a cheeky smile.
Ari raised a cheeky eyebrow at him, "Mmm, so I'm yours now?" She asked cheekily and took his hand in her own. He always knew how to make her feel better.
He pulled her closer and let go of her hand, slipping his hand around her waist "100% all mine" he said with a smile as they walked back towards the house. He was fairly happy about the kiss and the way they had wrapped themselves in each other because now not only did she smell like cinnamon like she always did, but she also smelt like him.
Ari kept close to him as they came inside the house and she earned strange glances from people again. She felt her nerves beginning to act up again and she clutched his arm for protection. "I'm scared." She whispered to him.
He pulled her close "just trust me" he whispered in her ear. Rage boiled inside him at her fear and he shot powerful glances and growled at the people that dare stare at him and his new mate. They quickly dropped their gazes and they made their way to the main meeting room.
Ari let out a breath as they looked away. She continued walking with him and nuzzled his arm gently before they walked inside of the main room to see a big group of people.
