Emily Ann I mean for me it was a pretty good book. I picked it off the shelf and read it and I was like, "Hey this is pretty good." So I just wondered what other people thought.

Hannah Dear I heard about it and then saw that my friend had given it 5 stars on here. I decided to read it and absolutely loved it! The Runaway King wasn't as good but I still really liked it.

Lani I loved it! Reading the Runaway King now.

Emily Ann I know I loved it.

Rebecca Pierce I haven't read it, but it looks interesting. If you were to give it a movie rating (e.g. PG-13) what would it be and why?

Lori The False Prince is honestly my favourite book ever !!!

Can I answer this?
Okay, I would rate it...well, I was thinking somewhere between PG and PG-13. I guess I should probably pick one. Probably PG-13, but I don't remember everything, so it might be closer to PG.

Rebecca Pierce So...A heavy PG or a light PG-13. For what? Violence? Intensity? Language? A combination of several?

Kristy Hunter My favorite book series right now. I am really looking forward to the 3rd book coming out next year. I even got my husband into the series when we listened to the audio version in the car.

I like that it is a fantasy novel without all the magic others have. (I like magic but my husband would never have listened to it if it did) It is also a story with clever characters and imaginative places. I wait patiently for The Shadow Throne... come soon.

Emily Ann I want it so bad!

And yet it is just as ( or more) exciting!! You don't necessarily need magic to make a great book :)

Little to no language (I don't remember any and normally that sort of thing sticks in my mind), no sexuality whatsoever (not even a kiss), and a little violence. People are murdered, and someone is whipped as a punishment. Somebody gets stabbed with a dagger.

I'm pretty squidgy with my books, but this one didn't bother me at all, :D.

Rebecca Pierce Thanks! That makes it much clearer. I just like to be cautious about the books I read. I think assigning ratings makes it easier to communicate with people who have different feelings on content than you do. Based on what you and others have said, I think I'm going to give it a try! If it's anything like the Queen's Thief books (which is what I've been told) then I'll probably love it!

Me too. It's why I tend to stick to children's books.

It reminded me a lot of the Queen's Thief books, except not as brilliant. Even so, it's earned a permanent spot on my 'favorites' list.

Rebecca Pierce Well I am certainly looking forward to reading it! Thanks for your help!

It's a solid PG. There is some fighting, and blood is mentioned. But no swearing, no real romance. It's such a great book!!!

Amy Finnegan One of my favorite books in a long time. And I thought THE RUNAWAY KING was better!! Blew my mind. Her writing is so fantastic. Really loving this series :)

Lori I cannot wait for Shadow Throne !

Rebecca Pierce I just finished reading it! Really liked it, exceeded all my expectations. Now I just have to wait until the second one comes from the library...oh well, just something else to look forward to. At least the third book is going to be released soon. Some other books I like won't have another installment for at least three or four years.

Breanna Joy At first I was skeptical: seemed generic. I could guess where it was going pretty easily. It grew on me though. An easy, enjoyable read. Will definitely read the next ones!! :)

eloise (in my arcane era) In the very beginning of the book, I was like 'eh, I liked 'The Mark of the Thief' by Jennifer, this'll probably be okay'. But how little did I know then how good this book would actually be! It was almost like Sage grabbed my arm and dragged me through everything, the death and romance and stupidity, but I loved the whole ride! Throughout the whole series (including the more recent books 4 and 5). Every time things kept getting more ridiculous, but amazing! It was well worth the buy.

✨olivia jane✨ absolutely loved it!! tho i did not like the 4th and 5th books AT ALL, so i would highly recommend stopping at the shadow throne

eloise (in my arcane era) Okay, maybe books 4 and 5 were a little too ridiculous, but overall, the other books were amazing! I do have to say, Shadow Throne was so sad and depressing though; don't get me wrong, it was really good, but SO depressing.
