Chandani (milkduds920) | 6408 comments My grandma was here the other day, and she is extremely religious. She came with all of these prayers and posted them an my wall in my room. My sister didn't want to recite them, and my grandma said "I am only tring to save you form the hell fire! Because i will be sad when i go to heaven and you are not there." She said this to my 10 year old sister.

After, my friend Key was here, and she was wearing a wig. My grandma started running her mouth on how the Q'uran says that we cannot wear wigs.

So i said "Why?" and sea said "Because Allah said, so we cannot wear wigs!" and i was like "Did they even HAVE wigs--" she cut me off and said

"DO NOT QUESTION THE QURAN CHANDANI! WE NEVER QUESTION ANYTHING THAT IS IN THE QURAN BECAUSE WE WILL BURN IN HELLFIRE."

I hate organized religion. ANd i'm sickened by the fact that everyone in my family is so convinced that should we not please this almighty god, that we will burn in hell. I watch my family spend their lives trying to get into heaven, instead of actually LIVING. It sucks.

If Chandani's grandmother grew up in one of those countries it's what she would have been tought is ..."

The thing is though, my grandmother was born and raised in colombia. She was raised catholic, and only converted to islam when my mother was 20. She denies that she was ever catholic though, and now shuns anything but islam.
