This simply proves how ridiculous biblical god is. He has all these other options, yes he always chooses teh hardest one.
i used to be a faithful catholic but since i joined goodreads in March you have all started to corrupt me :(now i am really starting to question
i haven't gone to church in a year, but i used to say the rosary every night (didn't want to go to purgatory), but always in the back of my mind i have been questioningjeez now if i go to hell it will be all your fault Lauren (jk)
:)darn now i have some things to consider
is there a god isn't there
my brain hurts
i better reread the bible :(
Lauren why are you so sure that there isn't a hell? One of these days when (and if) you're proven wrong, you'll regret putting all your trust and knowledge of God into Science.
Oh, judgemental Sheeky? Why did God allow science then, why would he purposfely lead us away from him?
'Let he among us without sin cast the first stone' You just damned Lauren to hell, aren't you not suppose to do that?
i think if you didn't believe in god, but you were a good person you would get into heaven anyways (if there is a heaven)

I have resigned to the fact that if a supposed all-loving God wants to put me in hell for being logical, then so be it.

He'd be no God anyway, if he's so small minded.
Yeah, Pascal's wager only works if you first assume one religion is correct, which isn't the case.

I don't think he's an idiot. He gave up on us a long time ago. A being of sound judgement, in my opinion.
No all-knowing being of sound judgment would have proceeded to create humanity if he knew what would have happened.
Ok I just got done reading everyones posts and i don't think u should put down Sheeky just because she believes in God. I believe in God but I still have questions and I don't go to church, but I can still be Christian.
Sheeky wrote: "I dont question God because I know he's real."
PATHETIC.
If you know he is real, you shouldn't be afraid to question him.

Jefferson himself said "“Question with boldness even the existence of God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear”

Ahahaha, oh yeah. Because reading a fiction book will definitely lead to questioning the fictional characters -_-
Logical, really.

AHAHAHAHA.
AHAHAHAHA.
They only want you to think that, so you don't see the glaring contradictions staring you in the face from religion.
