This is a hard question to answer!
If all is going digital..WHAT will be left? Just kiosks? to down load chapters or digital magazines and newspapers to read on commutes?
What purpose could a brick and mortar site have if there is no tangible product to sell? Perhaps there will be more used bookstores as people downsize and get rid of their paper copies.
And specialty bookstores for collectors.
But as for a new form for Barnes and Noble? It's really hard to picture.
Because eventually print books will just become too cost-heavy and not be worth the expenditure.

Yep to swipe your tablet through to pick up magazines and news...and maybe a few chapters of some authors upcoming work.
No more Frankfurt Book Fair--of ABA..or whatever its called now.
