Lightning is my mum's favourite book, so I recommend it through her!

message 202: by Sarah. B (new)

Sarah. B Lightning is my favourite Dean Koontz too. Excellent book I`d also recommend Midnight too. I`ve just finished Knots & Crosses (Inspector Rebus, #1) by Ian Rankin . Am currently reading All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque .

Mags Gourley | 31 comments Started reading Jonathan Livingston Seagull- re reading it and it still is amazing story :)
Lightning by Dean Kroontz is a brilliant book well worth reading or re read in my case.

message 206: by J.M. (new)

J.M. Paden (jmpaden) I wish I was better at reading classics like y'all! It takes me forever to get through! :/ I just finished City of Bones moving on to Such a Rush :D

Brenda (aka Grandma) | 278 comments I finished Northanger Abbey and am about halfway through Femme Fatale. I like this Irene Adler series but I wanted a break from cuteness and started Consider Phlebas. I've heard this series billed as science fiction with some stuff to think about, and that it gets better after this first book. Never thought I'd be reading a book that starts off with somebody drowning in his captors' waste!

message 208: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) I'll be finishing Redwall tonight and then will get back to Peter Pan and the shining girls. I'll get back to wind in the willows later. I need to read northanger abbey too.

message 209: by Michael (new)

Michael (micky74007) About halfway through Faithful Place (Dublin Murder Squad, #3) by Tana French

I read some negative reviews about this author, but I am enjoying this book. That it takes place in Ireland is a plus, as Ireland is my favorite place to visit.
I like the characters in this story--they seem real to me.

I really like it actually I got it 3 days ago and I am really close to finishing it. I would have been done already, but i have been really busy.

message 223: by Thomas (new)

Thomas Norford Just started reading a non-fiction book; 'The Way We Die' by Sherwin Nuland.' This is a detailed account of the physical process of death, written by an experienced surgeon. The book combines clinical expertise with a deep respect and understanding for people as individual human beings. It's books like like this that made me realise that awe and humility are not the preserve of religion - apologies if that offends anyone.

Juggling books is easier than you think!Ask anyone whos got a kindle. When one book starts to get dull or un exciting, they jump to several other books before jumping back.I find that i cant just read 1 book at a time,it gets too boring. :P
