Nothing related, but I have to share as I'm so excited! I'm going to see The Nutcracker performed by the Scottish Ballet in January. I can't wait!!
Woot, that's exciting Camille! You'll have to let us what you think.Very strange to be thinking about January already but it is just around the corner.

I need tea and Christmas fudge for breakfast! It is my oldest child's 21st birthday, so after fudge it's time to make birthday cake. So the long and short of it, I will not be reading today, but eating cake. :)
Thanks Renee, as you see, I'm still procrastinating. I have a dog, two cats, a husband, and the said b-day girl all in bed with me this morning. (The party has started!) Didn't even get to read a couple of sentences this morning. All is good though...maybe...gotta get some tea and chocolate soon.
Happy b'day to your girl Melissa, so good that you're all so close. I miss my little girl (now 15 y.o.) Sunday mornings in bed routines! Enjoy the celebrations, reading can wait on such days (I can't believe I said that, eh eh)
Thanks Renee, Sandy, Kiwi, and Kassandra! We had a action packed day including a dinner eating Indian cuisine and back home for presents and cake! Now I'm laying down. (Sigh)
Sorry I haven't been posting much recently, everyone! It's been super manic being back home (so many things to do)
Shocked everyone with my haircut. It's now short and dark red! My mum says I'm rebellious...

I'm all in favor of rebellion with hair!

Yikes! I still have presents to finish and ship!
I've was going through Goodreads and Amazon to look for books to nominate for January. Every time my husband came over, I had to shoo him away because you never know when Amazon is going to show images of the things you've recently bought or looked at or whatever. lolHusband has been wrapping presents and putting them under the tree, but none of them can be ebooks. Maybe I'll get a giftcard though! Fingers crossed!
I'm excited for Christmas too! It's a few days away and I'll be going to the Amy grant Christmas concert tonight and then I'll be celebrating Christmas with my family then hang out with my little sister the rest of the day so can't wait! :)
Thanks Renee! It was awesome and it was me and my mom's first time seeing her and her husband vince gill live in concert too! :)
I CANT WAIT!
I'm having a super slobby day after having the hectic family get-together yesterday. Problem is I can't decide what book to read... Too many options!

YAY! got to finish a few Christmas gifts and go to the Christmas eve service at Church and I'll be ready.
That's one massive book! Shame about the mixup at the library though! I hate it when that happens!
Amber wrote: "I'm sick too Faye still. Don't know what I got but hope to feel better soon."
That sucks. I hate being sick over Christmas! :(

Me too Faye. I was sick for Christmas to now with my mom so we had to stay home for Christmas while my dad went to visit family. At least I got to see my sister and open gifts with her. :)
Be kind to yourselves! I had it from mid-Nov thru most of Dec. You'll get peaks and valleys, but it takes a while to get through your system. Drink plenty of fluids.

Thanks Renee. I've been drinking plenty of fluids and taking medicine. was too sick to go to church today so am just going to read later. got some new books from hastings from a 5 used books for $20 sale so just got to figure out which one to read first.
Thanks, Renee! Sipping water as I type, and I just had a juicy apple, which oddly enough seems to have helped my throat a bit.
I hope it doesn't take a month to work itself out, though! Ouch, that must have been rough, Renee!

I hope everyone feels better soon! There has definitely been a lot of illness going round recently! (Both my Mum and my cat are I'll...)
I expect I'll get something soon. And doesn't people always say you should 'feed a cold'? But as Renee said, both of you keep wrapped up inside (there's snow here), and keep eating and drinking!

Yes, "feed a cold, starve a fever." I don't seem to have a fever (yet?), and thankfully I do have an appetite. Though maybe not for my Christmas goodies. :(
I hope you manage to avoid joining us, Holly!

University is like the boiling pot of illness, so I felt like I was ill for the whole 11 weeks I was there last semester. Hopefully the same won't happen again.
My mum got me some Zinc tablets for Christmas. It was such an exciting present to open! Apparently they help support the immune system....
