Possibly this comment should go in a new thread but I don't know how to do that....I wish Good Reads would include the publisher's name somewhere in their brief on the book. I rate that above the number
of pages. It can be the deciding point on wether I add a title to my TBR list (which is really growing by the way & thank you all!).
Today I visit my local used book store
with an alphabetical list (by authors last name) of books I want to read. LOVE Good Reads & my iPhone :)

Miss Marple would be great to have tea with, but Wallender would be great too.
Rick Castle, Hercule Poirot, Jessica Fletcher, Lucy Stone, and Hannah Swensen- while not all strictly detectives they are all amazing characters.
I think I would like to meet Stephanie Plum and her who clan. I feel like they would be an absolute blast to hang out with!

I have to many! First and formost Sherlock Holmes! I have a special place in my heart for Watson.. Agatha Christie. Emelia Peabody. Someone else mentioned Castle! (Would love that!) I know that she was a TV show before books but I love Jessica Fletcher!
