i agree with you @ Elihaha i personally would get annoyed if Leo's character was a girl. and it is really funny to think that changing a persons gender would result in someone not liking them. its petty to if you think about it, but that's how society is . it is ridiculous.

No, I think you've slightly missed my point. The thing is, Leo has had an awful life- his mother is dead, no one loves him, he's the seventh wheel, he's in love with an immortal. It's just tragedy after tragedy.
But if he were a girl, NO ONE WOULD GIVE HER SYMPATHY. That's why I'm mad. By the standards you have to love Leo, it doesn't make any sense that you wouldn't love Piper too. It just doesn't.
If Piper were a guy, it would be like this: "Oh, he's so hot! I wish he were my boyfriend. Oh my poor baby, your girlfriend doesn't pay much attention to you??? You don't like your mom??? Your dad never pays attention to you??? YOU POOR THING!!!"
I don't care much about Leo, but I don't dislike him. The thing is, this fandom is really, really sexist when you think about it. Not all of us, but a big enough chunk that it's alarming. Rick has some of this on his head, too, because he hasn't done much besides the "I'm nobody's sidekick" line to back it up.
-Piper becomes possessive over Jason only after Drew shows interest
-The Aphrodite cabin is reduced to a bunch of mean, high school bullies
-Drew, a possibly very dynamic character existed only to "steal Piper's man"
-Even though Piper only scored a 21 on the Mary Sue scale (more than halfway below average) and Percy scored a ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY ONE (THREE TIMES WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A SUE), people NEVER berate Percy for his sue tendencies
-Reyna is constantly used as a love triangle piece, despite only showing mild interest in Percy and little irritation about her best friend completely brushing her aside. Like, what the heck???
-In front of Percy, Annabeth becomes a lovesick, blind-to-danger person. It's degrading and very, very irritating.
-Okay, what the heck about Hazel dating. She's thirteen. What. Why. Why.
-The fandom constantly ships Thalia with someone even though she is a hunter. It basically says that her choice to be a maiden is a 'phase' in the same way most people would tell an ace person that their asexuality is a 'phase', which is awful
I could go on, but this fandom has problems. Severe problems.
TL;DR: I understand that you don't like certain characters. That is okay. I'm just saying that the basis for a lot of people not liking certain characters is weak and I don't understand it. There are many more reasons for one to hate Percy and Leo than Piper and Reyna. It pretty much comes down to the 'boys above girls' trope in literature.

first things first i noe leo and calypso are fictional characters but you misunderstood what i said or u diene read between the lines i meant that wen you fall in love with a character like example obsession two types of obsession crazy obsession like 1D and obsession over tv shows the one d one is like you r so obsessed you spend your whole life or time on that the tv shows is that you watch every single new show that comes on or the old ones the second one means ur obsessed like with characters and you always want to read their povs and you always want to stand up for them in debates but that doesn't mean your really obsessed i said tty because you were stain u wanted leo to be single so i thought u might be like jealous cus wen u have a fav fictional character your sub conscience can easily make it like the person is real so i thought maybe that wat hap end to you so thts why u want leo to be single u created a relationship so u r sad that calypso came in the way it looks like that is not wat hap end to you from your explanations of loving bro but not crushing on him yah i definitely understand that but there r some people who's minds make up stuff which is called IMAGINATION so yeah the love in the corner thing pls don't twist my words I'm not a dirty person and what u said or think is not wat i said or mean ti meant that if u put two people in a room and love comes between them theres no way to stop it yah it sounds wrong but read between the lines i meant like lets say obvi a boy and girl and they start talking to each other and and start getting to noe each other lets say they r the only human beings in the world theres no way u expect them not to communicate if they wanna leave i noe u might think so wat ur sati is people can't live without love? no thts not wat I'm saying but if people have no other options what can they do so back to the story they get to noe each other develop a crush without having a third wheel there lets imagine this in the world no longer in the room cus that doesn't explain my point hopefully u get it remember i said put love if love wasn't there then they wouldn't even care about each other its like cupid shooting them with arrows so if love was there then they have to get to noe each other not wat ur thinking i noe wat ur thinking I'm not gonna say it cus i don't wanna get banned but hopefully u get it
second: the hazel thing yah i read all ur links and stuff(not all cus some I'm not allowed to read) but the important ones and yah i agree she's too young to have a relationship but she's old enough to tell right from wrong she even acts older than her age so if u think about it she's actually not officially thirteen she's in her 60s or 70s i checked may be wrong but i checked yah that would have been if she was alive but this is her current age don't think about it too much to mess u up focus on wat I'm saying that she would have a clue about the whole bf gf things so she would noe wat to do yah i noe but rick put her as 13 so we have to imagine and accept she's thirteen wen u think about it they don't even do anything bad and stuff cus they r still minors cus they basically started dating so they aren't taking any thing too far that we should be worried about love doesn't care about age young or old love will be the same yah i get the relationships at young age damage mind but other people have survived it i noe u would say they aren't other people they r demigods which makes them slightly diff but still hazel yah she deserves happiness and blah blah but romance isn't they way to make her happy wat other choice does she have she has to accept her destiny she had a terrible life theres nothin else to make her happy yah she has other friends to do that but frank is the best choice for her I'm tired of typing and arguing but thts my opinion i get what u mean too young and the romance not good for youngsters yah yah i get it so lets leave it at that
third point: i agree romance shouldnt be the only thing to make u happy u have friends to do that and hazel has lots of friends so yah she's kinda already happy but frank keeps her balanced stable he's usually always there to comfort and reasurre her same with her tiger friends but with frank its different they share this sort of bond that no one else had they trust each other to the extent that frank gives her his lifeline and she tells him her haunting past there i hope i mad my point

You know what's amusing though? If Piper were a guy, the fandom would be FALLING OVER THEMSELVES. They would cry, "oh you poor baby your father doesn't love you???" but if Leo were a girl the fandom would despise her. "Oh my god she hits on everyone she's disgusting no one cares that you're a seventh wheel or that you're a mechanical genius. Get over yourself."

I just think you're getting too dramatic about this. I wasn't "twisting your words", not at all. I was just stating why I think the things I do. Hope I got my point out there, but I seriously don't think ANY of the relationships in this series are needed at all.

I do not think there was any need for Calypso in the story. The "love " thing was thrown together in like one chapter , call me old fashion but I think you need a little more than a chapter to fall in love. Also I really can't say its true love when EVERY single guy they send to the island calypso falls in love with. Who's to say that leo was anything more than just another person.Leo did bring out this new side to Calypso that no else has brought out and that's good I guess but, really come on all she did was do some gardening. I'm sorry but anyone could have done that. Leo flirts with every girl he sees pretty much so it was natural that he flirted with her too.
Leo is also swore on the river Styx, THE RIVER STYX!!!!!! That's a big deal leo . He did that after knowing her for like what a week. Not to mention he's an a very important quest right now that could mean LIFE OR DEATH he does not need the distraction of her while he's fighting for his freaking life. Leo does not need the distraction, Hazel was enough in my opinion.
So that's what I think about the two. Poorly done and not needed. Maybe if he extended the time and they fell in love over the course of the book and not in 3 chapter then I might be more convinced but right now it just seems like two teenagers who have a crush on each other. Not good enough to be as serious as it is. I think they should have been friends first, then progress in to best friend, then finally land on girlfriend and boyfriend. It was just to quick to take serious. So that's all I have to say sorry about my rant it was not supposed to be this long when I started. Bye :)
