Leo and Calypso?

I would have to reread the book to find out..In real time, a week. In Magical-Island-Time, no clue whatsoever.

common gosh ship them already trust me calypso is perfect u ca trust her she won't brake my leos heart k

I see why you might have that opinion. I don't agree with you but I see how you might have that opinion. and I would like to thank you for showing me a different point of v..."
really i thought everyone shipped them i love them two they r perfect i understand were ur com in from but rachel is right calypso did help leo gradually and she started growin warmer to him and i care if leo goes back for her in blood of olympus i know he will but still i totes ship them

yusssssss

1. "CALEEEOOOOOO!" *foams at the mouth*
2. "Aw they're so adorable :)"
3. "OH MY HEART."
4. "Wait."
5. "WAIT."
6. "Wow, I really, really don't ..."
trust me he's getting this together his getting his life back together he's building relationship with calypso and he's movin on from his painful and horrible past so ya u have a point we all do i still ship them tho

I think Leo is better off alone.
Calypso just annoys the heck out of me for some reason.
And why can't any of the characters just be single and happy? Why can't we have any single characters who aren't looking for a love interest? I personally don't think Caleo was important, and I don't think Frazel was either. Hazel is THIRTEEN. Does she really need a boyfriend to be happy?
Teenagers don't need to be in a relationship to be happy. I'm not in a relationship and I'm perfectly fine. I wouldn't have it any other way. This series just...kinda has a problem with giving off the vibe that you can't be single and happy. You can.

I agree with you;)

it brakes my heart that u say that *sighs* ya hazel is thirteen but like she had a terrible life she needs someone to make her happy again she lost her mom her bro barely talks to her and still sometimes mourn over bianca's death he's the only sibling she has frank is the next best thing she can ever have ya i agree she's thirteen why she needs a bf but like think bout it its fiction some of the things might not be real and we all noe they aren't she deserves to have a happy life ya she can do that without a bf but frank is the happy life she has
i have a vibe ur jealous of calypso do u love leo if u do then i think ur jealous cus calypso is takin him away making him in a relationship.
where in ur head theres already one between u and leo am i right pls tell me if I'm right or wrong u can't compare yourself to the demigods in the book they have different lives from us they live their lives tryna survive everyday they always have a calamity or setback which makes life difficult but they seem to ring happiness in the ones they love e.g. bf gf
leo needs a gf he has been lonely he basically has no mom barely a dad he is lonely and has been lonely for some parts of his life he needs company maybe ur afraid leks bona change wen he dates calypso or calypso changes him but hopefully our leo will remain funny cute and lovable just accept that they r in love u can't stop love once u put it between two people in a room so ya he deserves happiness they have all been through hardships they need happiness =D (my opinion) peace

First off: Leo is a fictional character. Calypso is a fictional character. I am not jealous of any fictional character. I am not jealous of Calypso at all. ("No, I would LOVE to be stuck on a stupid island for my whole immortal life!" *sarcasm intended*) I love Leo as a character, not as a love interest. There is a difference. I love my brother, but does that mean I have a crush on him? No. That's gross. Leo is a good character. He's probably the gem of the whole book. Does that mean I "love" him and want a "chance" with him? No. He's fictional. He's not real.
Second: I know Hazel has gone through hard things and needs someone to be her friend. She doesn't NEED a boyfriend. She NEEDS a FRIEND. And she has lots, thank goodness. She's just too young and Rick shouldn't be putting a thirteen year old in a relationship with a fifteen (sixteen?) year old. It's wrong. 13 year olds need friends at their age; not romantic relationships. Romantic relationships at a young age are not a good idea. They can give you heartbreak and suffering when you shouldn't be worrying about those things. They can change you, and get you roped into things that are wrong.
Third: Yes, all of them deserve happiness. They deserve to enjoy their youth while they can. They deserve to have FRIENDS. They need to surround themselves in their friendships, not their love interests. Friendships and family are two of the most important things; not boyfriends/girlfriends.

Rick Riordan has this obsession with pairing up every single character. Nevermind the fact that Hazel is thirteen and probably can't be in any sort of serious relationship because she is too young to have any concept of that yet. (view spoiler)
What the heck does Rick have against super tight friendships. Like, Percabeth I get, but why is it that as soon as Jason and Piper start eating each other's faces Leo is left out and why does Leo need a girlfriend at all, he doesn't seem the type to hold a long term relationship without messing up tbh, and why does Reyna get depicted as this jealous girl and why is she degraded to a possible love interest to Leo in HoH (that bit made me so mad) and why is there so much romance. What. Why. Why aren't there more platonic bromances and friendships.
The more time that passes between me reading this series and now, the more confused and critical I am. Why. Why

Still, it was kind of silly of him. Like getting Calypso <3 tattooed on his forehead or something.
A lot of people say Leo would be in Ravenclaw but honestly he has no wisdom in him, just inherent ability. He'd probably be a hufflepuff for his loyalty, which is excessive, clearly.

No, he isn't. Ravenclaw is wisdom and the value of wisdom above all other traits. Leo is not wise. Not one bit. He's a bit of an idiot (but we love him anyway). He values loyalty and (not usually, but occasionally) bravery. The fact that he is good with tools is really just something he was born with- something he inherited.
Like, it's the reason Hermione wasn't in Ravenclaw, why Ron not Hufflepuff, and Harry not Slytherin. They were sorted into Gryffindor because they valued bravery above all traits.
Leo values loyalty. He wants to remain loyal to his friends. He is not wise. He is Hufflepuff

Leo wouldn't disagree even if he were real. Besides, if Leo were in Ravenclaw he wouldn't fit in. He's Hufflepuff.
a) they're relationship was extremely fast moving. Like, I get you only had twenty-forty pages which is no where near enough to build a strong bond between two characters, so I have to commend Rick on that, but it was a little choppy and there were some bits where Leo's random thoughts of "gee she looks goood" were a little random and off putting.
b) Leo was really, really, really stupid at the very end of that arc. Like, you've known this immortal girl for about a week, and you dig her, that's cool and all, but to swear on the Styx is like, literally the stupidest of the stupid. Honestly. Who does that? Remember in the first book where they were afraid of saying a god's name, much less swearing on the Styx all willy-nilly. If you know that a prophecy states you either keep an oath or you die, yOU DON'T MAKE NEW OATHS. Even though, as cute as this all is, this oath will never be part of the prophecy because it has (I'm guessing) almost nothing to do with the Gaia plot
They're cute and I was like, "aw", when they kissed, but my emotion stunted there, pretty much. They're not worth my squeals. Yet, at least. Hopefully more development will ensue ^-^
