Ooh cool. When exactly are we starting Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I was planning on reading it in June but I'd rather read it with you guys.

Hiyya. I am starting this a day earlier. Hope that's alright. My plan is to hopefully finish it in a week, possibly in less. We'll see how it goes. I really wish the start is not as slow as the Order of the Phoenix because that one took me a while to get through.

Finished it. This one has got to be my second favorite of the series after Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It was such a beautiful book.

I know! I was actually thinking I would finish it by the end of the week, maybe even more. But I finished work at noon yesterday so I read from around 1 to 8. One massive headache later, the book was finished.

Ahhh I finally finished omg! I can't believe that all just happened!

I'm so so sad about Dumbledore. Honestly this was one of my least favorite books.. I think the longer they get the harder it gets to follow along.. I'm happy about all the romance in this book! I've been waiting for that.. But everything else was sub par.. I'm glad Malfoy and Snape's true colors finally came out.. We all knew it ages ago but it's nice to have proof now.

There are a lot of harry potter references out there! my brother commented on something the other day, because some girl said she was crying at the gym because she read the bit where someone died, and he didn't know who she was talking about. I told him it was harry potter and he went 'oh! I remember now!'

I don't know how series read alongs usually go but we still had to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We were reading a book a month :/ so this is a bit confusing.

When are you reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?
Abbie and I are reading the first one on June 24th, and then there's another group of people reading the second one on July 5th I think. If the books being read aren't taking place at the same time, other people usually use the thread too. We don't usually have more than one thread for a series unless there's a big conflict.
Nobody had any idea that you were planning to read the last one anytime soon.

Hey. We were reading one a month. I don't know how series read alongs work. I thought they meant starting from book 1 through to the last.

In theory. when are you reading the last one though? do you have a date?

Most of the time series threads are for the whole series, but if people want to read 2 books out of a series, they use these threads too since it's easier to keep track.
If you're reading one a month, and the last one you read was the 10th, the thread should be clear for you to use.

Abbie and will most likely be finished on the 24th of June, and the buddy read for chamber of secrets doesn't start until July 5th, so you have quite a big gap in between those. If you decide on a date with Rachael, and let us know what it is, we can reset the thread for you once we've finished HP1.
