Really?! Goblet of Fire was by far my favorite one so far! I'm reading for the first time

I see! Yah I was never allowed to read these as a kid (my school wouldn't let me and my parents wouldn't let me) and then by the time I turned 18 I was such a Twilight fan that I thought I couldn't also be a Harry Potter fan.. Boy was I wrong!

I bought all the movies too and am watching them for the first time after I finish the book, it's been such a fun journey!

Yep I totally missed the hype. I actually didn't start reading/become a fangirl until about 2 years ago (I'm 24 so I really missed the trend).

The movie adaptions are surprisingly pretty good! It's fun to watch the fantasy come to life and I think they did fantastic with the casting. I can't wait to watch Goblet of Fire!

@Rachael the goblet of fire movie was my favourite cos Daniel had long hair and he looks pretty good in it (before he went skinny and everyone started to grow taller than him, no offense I'm a shorty myself) and it captured the whole book nicely

That was my biggest complaint about the Goblet of Fire movie! They completely did away with the house elf's and SPEW :(

Oh I thought it was perfect... It was so crazy I never imagined seeing them in a movie together... I know RP's acting so well and I'm just getting to know DR so it was so weird to see them merge together.. He was still Edward to me in that movie though hahah

Nope it's Jim Dale... but he's REALLY REALLY good. He has a British accent and he does all the characters voices, it's my favorite audiobook thus far

Dudley runs right back to mommy and daddy and blames Harry even though he saved his life. I hate the Dursley's! Book to book that never changes. (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, this one is pretty slow so far. I actually started it last year and I stopped. Now I started it again. I'm still on chapter 11. Moving along slower than I thought.

I liked the bit with Hagrid's little brother and helping save them in the forest. LOL @ Hagrid saying he's trying to find him a lady friend.

I'm glad all the truth is out there and the Ministry looks like idiots... Hopefully we never see or hear from Umbridge again.

Ah, finally I have managed to finish it after two weeks. It never takes me this long to read a book. However the size of it and the slower pace in the beginning did not help. Got to admit that this was not my favorite so far. My favorite will always be Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because I love Sirius (view spoiler)[and that is why this book made me cry so much. my heart is so broken (hide spoiler)]. It was definitely an emotional read for me. I watched the movie right after I finished it and it was pretty amazing too. Been doing that with all the books :)

I started this yesterday... I'm already on chapter five and I plan to end this before the ending of next week (around the 22nd) because I am in finals time and whatnot.

This will be my 2nd time reading this. I read it about 4 or 5 years ago when I was 9/10.

I have also been watching the movies right after reading but for me it's the first time.

Really enjoying the series but yes I agree they take me a while to get through.. I can't start reading until June 1st though but you guys can and I'll catch up when I can :)
