Still sleeping. I was worried she would wake up when I went to the bathroom. She is such a good puppy!
I am so far behind on this now! Started a few days ago but listening on audiobook and have not had the time.

Yep. That is a lot to try to keep bottled up without even a friend to talk to though.

Lol yes. Fixed. Thanks.
Jamie wrote: "On another note, how is Ruby? She keeping you busy in her adorable ways?"She is!! I am absolutely exhausted. She starts puppy training classes on Sunday so like a week away now and she will turn 10 weeks the day before it starts which is the minimum age. We have started her on treats and she is LOVING them.
We have some things to buy for her tomorrow. Some more food. Some more toys. I want to get her a harness that fits. Maybe look at some gates. OOOOH I want to exchange her current pen for a larger one. She is kind of outgrowing her current one.
I want to buy some stuff to clean her face too. She gets a lot of gunk around her eyes and she also is not opposed to stepping in her own urine and feces so definitely need some wipes or something.
She also mostly knows 'fetch' now. She loves it! My brother is frustrated though as she does it better with me! 😜 He's the one who really wants her to learn fetch.I'm continuing to socialize her too. We have had some fair success with introducing her to dogs. We are doing better with introducing her to people. Lots of people love her and want to pet her because she is so tiny and cute. ^_^

Good luck with the puppy classes!
Eww to stepping in her messes. Yes clean those paws! Ours had a thing for trying to roll in the neighbors chicken poo. Not cool.

That is good that she is getting a variety of socialization. Hopefully she is a little less shy now.

Thanks! Can't wait for her to learn 'leave it' and 'heel'. 'Quiet' would also be nice. :P
Thankfully she doesn't roll in it but I think she ate her poo earlier. She was doing good but I didn't know she had gone and was hoping by ignoring her she would go back to sleep. My fault. :(

A little bit. I now can give people little bits of a treat. Tried that for the first time today and that helps. She is still shy. But she does good. At least when she is shy she doesn't nip as much. :)

Ours never did take to "heel" we had to "Stop" for a full stop or "Easy" just to mellow out and pull less.
Right now I would take not eating everything and not almost kicking her or stepping on her. I don't mind pulling or biting the leash. It's mostly the fear of her eating a cigarette butt or stepping on her that makes walking her so exhausting.
Anna 'Bookbuyer' wrote: "Right now I would take not eating everything and not almost kicking her or stepping on her. I don't mind pulling or biting the leash. I still find it hard to believe a 5 lbs dog can pull her over but apparently she is that strong or my mom is that weak?
Jamie wrote: "And no cigarette butts!!!"Definitely! There are a lot of them too now that I have a dog. Before I would have never noticed them!
Oh and rocks. She likes to chew on pebbles for some reason. Sometimes I think I have an idiot for a daughter but then she does something so smart that I just have to resign myself to a genius dog who likes to chew anything and everythimg
That's why I need to have her learn 'Leave it'.Oh and I am also going to have to start to find out how to certify her soon. I think most dogs start that kind of training at 6 months so I have a few months still but I have literally no idea how to start...
Yay break those eating or even putting them in her mouth fast! Choking hazard or rocks in the tummy that make her feel full is no good at all. I hope she picks up the lessons quick.
