Please join us this month in reading Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry!

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1) by Katie McGarry

Synopsis: No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with freaky scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.

But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

You don't have to participate in the Group Read - it's entirely up to you, but if you read the book along with us or have already read it, we would love to hear your comments, questions, thoughts, ect. That's what makes the Group Read fun! Please keep from posting too many spoilers early in the month, though, as people might still be reading it. If you feel that you might "spoil" a part of the book by commenting, be sure to put something like "***Spoiler Alert***" or something to let others know to read at their own risk! And make sure to have fun!

I started this book a few days ago, but it's kinda slow going for me. Partly because I'm writing a term paper in between and partly because I don't usually like contemporary romances that's don't really have a "hook" to pull me in.

I'm half way through, but I'm hoping it picks up. People seem to love it so much.

Inda (indaherwood) I really liked it. But then again this book isn't for everybody. I recommended it to a friend and she couldn't finish it. So don't feel bad ;)

I mean, I like it well enough, it's just harder to force myself to sit down and read it. I read Shadow and Bone at the same time I started it and breezed through it because it kept pulling me back in. This one... Not so much.

And I'm glad it's not just me. The story is cool and I like the writing style, but... I dunno. Maybe I'm just apathetic because finals are coming up in a couple weeks and I'm rushing to get all my assignments in. Lol.

Taylor | 12 comments Trying to catch up with these reads but I'm so late ughh. Its funny though, because I was planning on reading Dare You To as soon as I possibly could. It looked more interesting than Pushing The Limits, but no harm in trying them both I guess :)

I'm no where near done with this book only like 100 pages in , but it's not too bad for me. I hope it doesn't get dull in the end.

Taylor | 12 comments So I just read Dare you to(I know I know outta order. But...that cover was just...ahhh.)

I'm willing to give Pushing the Limits a try, but I'm kind of in that mourning period given the fact I just finished the book.

Anyways that book had me laughing and smiling like an idiot so many times. Anyways, I loved it I loved the author's style of writing. So ya, I'll give it a chance.

I just finished it! I'm glad I finally forced myself to sit down and devour the book. It took me a while to get into it, but around half way through it picked up and I loved the ending!

I'm eager to read Beth's story now. :)

Taylor | 12 comments I just finished Pushing The Limits! It took me a while to get into it, but like Brittany said about halfway through it picked up and I was able to finish it.

Am I the only one that's a little sad that Beth and Isaiah likely wont get together, seeing as the next two books are about them with different people? :(

message 11: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 12 comments Haven't got my hands on Crash into you yet. But, with Beth's story...you'll see more into Beth's life and why she acts the way she did in Pushing the Limits and Dare You To.

Honestly, if Beth and Isaiah got together I think they will crash and burn.

The author did state that she saw Isaiah and Beth as a couple while writing Pushing the Limits.

You'll see more of Beth and Isaiah's friendship and I'm trying really hard not to spoil this. So all I'm going to say is that whoever Beth and Isaiah end up with its probably for the best.

Yeah, I figured that was what would prolly happen with them both together. But it still makes me a little sad. But at least I get two more books to read with - hopefully - happy endings.
