ABANDONED. Sci-Fi Novel about group of teens that find a frozen alien in the woods.

I can remember this Sci-Fi YA Novel that I read about 7 years ago, all I can remember is that the main characters were a group of teenage friends who went for a walk to the woods. I also remember how the narrative voice was talking about how unusual the weather was, it was freezing and no one in that town was sure why, well when they go to the woods they find some sort of frozen creature, I'm sure it was an alien, under the snow.
And that's it, I seriously can't remember anything.
