damn what? Ky is basically a decoy for enemy fire, which doesn’t make any sense, but everyone is dying??? Damn. I hate that he left the green scrap on the hill tho :( Xander is here! I can’t believe she traded Ky’s compass omg that actually hurts. I don’t know but there’s something going on with Xander and I don’t trust him.

They’re just decoys, poor Ky and Vick. But why does the society take the bodies? Even their ammo is fake, what the hell. Shit omg no the blue tablets don’t keep them alive but instead slow them down to make them wait until someone gets you, Cassia doesn’t know and thus traded Ky’s medal for nothing 😭😭 is it really just a way to kill aberrations? Indie clearly stole her matching ceremony case, but why?

WRGHHHHH NO Ky ran before cassia got there for fucks sake that’s frustrating. The girls have arrived ah this is going to be trouble, the boys will definitely touch them. And tell her about Ky dammit!!! I’m now listening to this while working, I kinda love her voice lol.

Still not sure how I feel about Indie. The guy is dumping them in the canyons, but why? I don’t really get why he’d go home. Omg Ky carved her name aw so she’ll definitely find that :’) it’s still kind of odd how obsessed he is with her ngl. So Ky’s father was seemingly indeed connected to the rebellion, but he’s hiding something else about him? I do kinda think he was the pilot and Ky will become the new one.

The kid who ran with them is dead damn. And she took a blue pill aaah I’m scared, it’s cute that Xavier put info about himself in the container though. I don’t necessarily love a love triangle and I feel bad for Ky tbh. See, Vick was in love with an Anomaly and they have a contract (no clue what that means, marriage?), I’m convinced that’s Indie (Lanie). I’m not yet sure what the difference between anomalies and aberrations are honestly.

Indie literally told her the blue tablets are poisoned yet she still wants to take them???? Ffs Cassia. I do wonder if Xander knew. Holy shit Vick died :(

The cave is filled with samples woah. Odd how they don’t care about Hunter breaking the tubes, those are people who could’ve been brought back?? Ky knows Xander’s secret? What is it? The things that happened back home that they made cassia forget? Idk. So the farmers aren’t the same as the rising (rebellion), but many of them did join. Ky’s father is still unclear to me, was he the pilot?? Not much is truly happening in this book, it’s quite the setup for the next one again lol.

Ah so he wasn’t the pilot but just a follower. Ky doesn’t want to go to the rising because of who his father became to them, I get it, but it’s also hard to understand if that makes sense. I HATE how he keeps describing Indie more than Cassie, I don’t want him to fall for her fuck off. I hate this so much, Cassie risked everything for him and he just goes on to focus on this random chick????

Indie did steal the microchip ugh bitch. Fuck I’m getting so annoyed by Ky calling her beautiful and admiring her I could cry, I’m enjoying this less and less 😭😭 does indie actually think that them being immune to the red tablet is connected to the rising? Fuck no, it’s just a mistake in the system??? She’s so naive at times what the hell that doesn’t fit her.

I hate that they’re growing apart. I like that Ky can paint too, it’s cute. Eli took Vick’s tube damn I didn’t expect that! And cassia took her grandfather’s, I wonder if the tubes will come back somehow. Why was Vick reclassified again? Because of Laney right? I hate that they’re splitting up again, it feels like we’re back at the beginning, but they’re finally coming close to the Rising.

wtf was that ending?!? They’re all split up AGAIN?!? Cassia is send back to the society by the rising, which I hate, and she’s meeting with ‘him’, I’m guessing that’s Xander? I don’t have a clue how far in the future her chapter was, it seemed to be farther along. Ky is going to be an airship pilot and we don’t know where indie is going, which seems shady. I kinda hate how this ended and how little happened in this book :/ damn. I think three stars, especially the Ky-Indie plot made my rating drop ugh I hate it all. I don’t want Xander and Ky to love anyone else ngl. Cassia’s character also felt different, she was cool and badass, but it’s also odd how badly she suddenly wants to join the rising. I do hope her family is alright and we’ll get answers about her grandfather and Ky’s father’s role in the rising. (hide spoiler)]
