I'm on The Handmaid's Tale for the real life book group I go to. It's actually really gripping. I've had red eyes the last two days from staying awake too late.
I read The Handmaid's Tale for the first time about a month ago. Good book. I finished Mistborn and am now reading The Well of Ascension.
Finished The Time of Contempt and decided it was finally time for James Enge -- Travellers' Rest (a short story) followed immediately by Blood of Ambrose.
Finished The Well of Ascension. Not as good as Mistborn in my opinion but still good. Now I'm reading The Hero of Ages. And I hope to start Prince of Thorns later this weekend- or early next week.

I enjoyed Life After Life, love Kate Atkinson."
Yep I am enjoying it too.
Nienna wrote: "Finished The Well of Ascension. Not as good as Mistborn in my opinion but still good. Now I'm reading The Hero of Ages. And I hope to start Prince of Thorns later this..."I was not keen on Prince of Thorns. Do update us as you what you think.

Just finished The Company Man and The Sword-Edged Blonde. Liked both, but I am not at all sure why Bledsoe chose that as the title. Never did find a "blonde" in the book that might fit the title.Trying to decide whether to read Low Town, which has been on my to read list for a while, or start the next Bledsoe book Burn Me Deadly.
Jamie wrote: "Just finished The Company Man and The Sword-Edged Blonde. Liked both, but I am not at all sure why Bledsoe chose that as the title. Never did find a "blond" in the boo..."I liked Company Man quite a bit when I read it. I've had my eye on the Bledsoe, especially now that Amazon has four of the books available in a package deal for very, very slight savings over buying them individually.
Joseph wrote: "I've had my eye on the Bledsoe, especially now that Amazon has four of the books available in a package deal for very, very slight savings over buying them individually"Well, as I said, the title has absolutely nothing to do with the book. But it was a good read, especially if you like detective noir.
Finished Blood of Ambrose and am moving on to This Crooked Way, also by James Enge. Will try to write reviews when I get home and am no longer typing on a laptop.
You lot are making debts into my book fund! Finished Handmaids Tale, enjoyed it a lot. I didn't know it was a film too.
Bev wrote: "Nienna wrote: "Finished The Well of Ascension. Not as good as Mistborn in my opinion but still good. Now I'm reading The Hero of Ages. And I hope to start [book:Prince of Thorns|9579..."Will do :)
I consider myself warned. Lol.
I'm planning to read The Well of Ascension....asap.I've got several group reads coming up next month, so I'm starting with Academ's Fury first.
I just finished A Song for Arbonne and reviewed it (spoiler free) on my blog, Worlds Worth Visiting. A great choice if you're interested in a historic fantasy that's light on fantasy, but has a great epic, romantic feel to it!
Finished Low Town. It was good, but the main character occasionally seemed to say or do things that just didn't fit. But overall I liked it enough that I will probably read the rest of the books in the series.
Finished The Rithmatist. It was a fun read, which reminded me of Harry Potter. :)I'm reading Perdido Street Station now. I actually started reading this book maybe close to 10 years ago, but for some reason stopped. I was enjoying it, but I think it was because I was put off by the profanity at the time. However, I've probably read plenty of books with worse profanity now, so I don't think it would bother me as much as it did back then.
Finished Prince of Thorns and loved it. I thought the narrative was a little uneven but overall I enjoyed it. Going to start King of Thorns asap.

I enjoyed that series a lot. Not enjoying The Inheritance much. Have two more Megan stories then the three Hobb who I've always enjoyed before.

I'm currently working my way through the Night Angel Trilogy and some non-fiction (history and mythology mostly).
Finished Emperor of Thorns. I liked it but thought it was definitely the weakest of the three books. Now I'll be starting Unfettered, a short story collection of different fantasy authors.
Just read Throne of Glass, it was a good story. Now moving onto the sequel Crown of Midnight i'm liking it so far.I was supposed to complete Assassin's Quest but i put it on hold.... found it a bit lonely and heavy to read

I was supposed to complete [book:Assassin's Quest|..."
I read the four novellas in this series, also bought these in a sale, I quite enjoyed them and should move the two main books up the pile.
