I like Dale and his increased role in the comic. I hope his virtual companion with bad manners comes back someday.

Yesterday's update confused me for a bit. Instead of the transition screen indicating Tai and Dora just happened to be looking at the same thing I initially thought they we're seeing what Dale was looking at. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how/why they would've hacked his computer. ^_^;

Dawn | 257 comments yeah, it confused me, too. I kept looking for the heroin addiction link!

Same here! It's absence is what finally clued me in.

Emily's particular brand of insanity amuses me, so I've been enjoying this week's strips. Today's is really cute. It's nice to see Claire more confident about sharing her secret with friends and Emily's blank stare for three panels sweetens the eventual unrelenting acceptance.

Edit - hmm, make that tomorrow's strip is really cute. Looks like one was skipped this morning and it has since been corrected. I had wondered why there was a broken link when I tried to go back, and the "new" one for today makes more sense as a lead in.

The first two panels made me wonder where on earth he was going with this. The out of nowhere third panel had me laughing horrifically at the metal image of a "robot" on fire trying to assure you that everything is ok. Martin and Pintsize's perfect reactions in the last panel is just icing on the cake.

Dawn | 257 comments I don't know--that 2nd panel robot looks pained. "I'll smile even though I'm about to burst into flame!"

"I'm not sure I like having fun" might be my favorite QC quote ever.

May's back!!! And as bluntly amusing as ever.

Last Friday's strip was particularly great, as it shows May's (warped) idea of how to act after promising to be nice to someone:

Pintsize getting punched never ceases to be amusing.

Jeph is trolling readers again, but this time with a pairing that amuses me.

Dawn | 257 comments I'm doing an archive crawl (mostly because I hooked my husband onto the strip) and I notice that the male anthros are all small and non-human shaped like Pintsize and Winslow. The more human shaped ones are female like Momo and May. I can't remember--were there male chassises (chasses?) in the shop?

(Not that Pintsize should upgrade to a more human shape!)

Hmm. Not sure if there's an in-comic reason. The anthros are supposed to be matched to users' personalities, so Momo being a humanoid anime girl is right in line with Marigold, and May was a bit of a standard maid type for the program she was a part of (and she wanted to be a fighter plane instead anyway). Or it could just have been easier for the artist to default the more robotic one's to male. Agree on pintsize - he's trouble enough small...

The current storyline is sweet, but as I'm weird and would prefer Emily as a match for Martin I'm getting a little bored.
