How do you do a picture for your avatar thingy???!!!

So I keep trying to figure out how to do a picture and I can't seem to figure it out... Please help!!!!
Not quite sure if your talking about your avatar or not or why its in death note but if its your avatar your talking about at the very top of the page there's a little downward arrow. click it and a drop down menu will come up and press 'Edit Profile' then it should go to the page and there should be a square in the right and under there should be a place that says something about choosing a file/picture. Just pick one save it and WABOOSH! A nice shiny new avatar just for you. ;)
