Movie Reviews Apparently Allowed for Books?

This isn't something GR Librarians can deal with - we deal with the actual data records.

I would suggest that the best place for this is either Feedback or dropping Support a line.

Please be aware though that if someone had added a record for a non-book version, that this may be then merged into the book record, in which case the film review would transfer too.

I can see how this would be galling in the wake of the recent "reviews can't be off topic and must be about the book" controversy.

On the other hand, if GR wants to silently back down from uneven, inconsistent enforcement of this rule and let pretty much any review stand that is not illegal or truly fits the existing TOS for harassment, etc., I'd be fine with that, too.

I have no problem, as a intelligent adult, ignoring what I consider OT or uninformative for myself.

This is not a Librarians Group issue, but one for the Feedback Group. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or related issues. Closing thread.
