Same books different authors

I think this author adopted a pen name and released the same books with different titles and covers and dates. She might not want the books combined so I'm sorry if I'm being weird, but it just seemed messy to have the same books listed twice with separate reviews. Unless the books differed greatly upon new release, which is entirely possible.

Both authors are not members of Goodreads.

The books on both profiles, which have very similar blurbs, are;
Schoolgirl Cinderella/The Cinderella Girl
Swan Story/Cursed

I'm not sure if anything is supposed to be done, and like I said maybe the books changed a lot upon re-release. I just wanted to mention this and see what you wanted to do.

I had a similar problem with a book and author once, and the superlibrarians told me to leave it, so I'd say it'd be the same case for this issue.

I guess if we could assure that it's the same person one could add the respective pen name to the author's profiles, and/or add a note on the books as being also released under the title ... .

For any book published first under one name and then another, all editions should have the first name under which they were published listed as primary. Then each edition published under a different name, should have that name as secondary author for that edition. Among other reasons, it allows all the editions to be combined.

The two books I mentioned were first published by author 1 (Priya) in December 2012, then by author 2 (Ava) just recently with different titles. I believe the authors are the same person based on my internet searching. Author 1 (Priya) has also published two other books.

Can I tag a question in this thread? How about an author who shows up twice? I'm looking at Franz McLaren and Franz S. McLaren. Unsure how to address his books listed under both names. (Humorously the covers listed on Franz McLaren have the S. on the cover and those without the S on the cover have the S. on the author page.)

Not supers, only The Staff can tweak Goodreads authors.
