Tobias leaned back against the cool plastic of his chair, stretching his legs out in front of him. After the teacher had introduced himself, and told everyone his age, how long he worked and all the other things that most of the kids didn't care about he sat back down looking around for some papers. The minute the teacher broke his gaze from the class, Tobias straightened glancing around the classroom looking for a familiar face. He smiled politely at everyone who was looking back at him, which awkwardly was almost everybody. Not seeing any of his friends, he slumped back crossing his arms across his chest. Man this is going to be boring he thought to himself, channeling his gaze out the window. The sunlight streamed through the windows casting a perfect shadow on the girl beside him. From this angle she was beautiful, he snorted inwardly. Heck, she probably looked that fine from any angle, he smirked at the direction his thoughts were flowing. Darn you hormones! Just when he had formed enough courage to turn in her direction and create some small talk, the teacher interrupted. Parting his lips he let out a sigh and patiently waited till everyone was finished introducing themselves. When it was finally his turn he stood hooking his thumbs in his pocket and smiling softly. " hey, my names Tobias." he waved briefly. " and over the summer i went to my cottage near the coast." quickly he took his seat, shrinking further down to almost make himself smaller. " I hate doing that." he muttered to the girl beside him.

Elena bit her lip, stiffening every time the teacher shot a look in her direction, well more like the boy in front of her. Being in the same isle as him though, she could never tell if the teacher was actually glaring at him or her. Sliding down a little on her chair, she tapped the legs of her table with her pencil creating a beat to the song she was humming in her head. Her mind trailed from the lesson to other random topics, like what she should have her lunch? or whether the mole on the teachers chin was always that big? Sighing she twirled her fingers in her hair feeling quite bored. For the rest of the lesson she half listened half doodled the whole time. The dismissing bell, was a divine ring to her ears. Shooting from her seat she collected her books getting ready to leave. Just as she regained herself hearing the boy speak made her yelp none to softly, dropping all her books and papers. Her eyes widened, her lips parted as if to say something, but not a single sound came out. Giving up on trying she bent to pick up her stuff, her cheeks a bright red.

Class continued, each minute ticking away. Ten minutes before the period was over, the teacher handed out syllabus's. She made them all read over it, and ask questions. It was pretty typical. She would bet money this teacher had used the same syllabus for like, ten years, at least. Ceci yawned softly, but hid it. She remembered a few years ago when she'd yawned and the teacher had glared to her, and made a big deal out of it to the whole class. It had been embarrassing but mostly just... weird. Really weird.
The period finally ended, and she stood up and gathered her things. There wasn't but to grab, on the first day, though. Only a blank notebook, empty folder, her pencil case, and the syllabus. She looked over at... Tobias again, and then away.
_______________
Gunner grinned. He'd gotten the exact reaction he'd been hoping for. But, this girl was kinda cute. Even if she was flustered at the moment, he'd have to keep an eye on this one.
"Surprised that I talk?" he kept on, but nevertheless bent down and helped her pick up her things. Her pencil case had opened, and some of her stuff came out. He decided not to comment on the pad lying there- though he'd been highly considering it. He probably had embarrassed the cute girl enough for one day. He set her stuff back down on her desk, so they wouldn't have that awkward moment when he tried to hand her it, but her hands would be too full at the moment. He tried to avoid having awkward moments. It came pretty easy to him. Some people were just lucky that way. "So, really, what is your name?" he asked in a more serious way. He was curious. His typical smirk had disappeared, for once, left with an almost boyish expression. Curious. They'd have a whole year together in class, and he made it a priority, (sort of), to know almost everyone's names.

Tobias had his lips parted and jaw dropped slightly as he stared in disbelief at the teacher. How on earth could this get more boring?! He himself had barely stayed awake in classes during high school, college was pretty much killing him with boredom, and he had to suffer four more years of this....was it even considered teaching? More like form of torture. Praying for some enlightenment, he scanned the walls which were covered with diagrams or quotes and endless facts and pictures that haunted the students. Hearing her voice, was like an angels voice to his ears, that were bleeding from listening to the teachers non stop rants. Finding out she was new here he felt some sympathy for her. It was tough already going to college for the first time, but also leaving your hometown and entering a new one, he could only imagine. “ it’ll get better.” he said, sort of unsurly. He had never been good at all these forms of comfort. “ most people are nice here.” he said softly, lowering his voice so that only them two could here. It seemed that god had finally taken mercy on him, for after she saved him the divine sound of the bell rang allowing them to escape this doom. Shooting up he gathered his books and papers turning to face the girl. “ hey, uh would you like to have lunch with us?” he asked walking out of the room with her, dodging people in the hallway, so that he remained at her side.
Elena’s eyes widened further when things started falling from her pencil case. Including her pad. shit! she cursed inwardly, reaching down with shaky fingers and hurriedly gathered up the stuff. Her already inflamed cheeks weren’t anywhere near healing when he himself had bent and helped her. Briefly there fingers brushed, making her cheeks look like strawberries. Straightening she swallowed past the hard lump in her throat as she stared up at him. Her legs were frozen in place, not allowing her to move the way her inside was screaming at her too. He was a handsome fellow, one with a lot of nerve too, to be smirking at her like that. Biting the inside of her cheek she shoved her stuff into her purse, before steeling herself to look at him. your better then that! she chastised herself. Parting her lips, her eyes glanced quickly at the tattoos that peaked out of his shirt, looking like vines on his collar bone. Focusing back on his face, which was way too sexy she spoke. “ um, my names Elena.” she said softly, shouldering her bag. “ sorry about, uh the...” she gestured her hand a little, referring to the unnecessary show of shock

Ceci looked back at Tobias once again. It seemed like a repeating action. "Who's 'us'?" she asked curiously, but she'd already made up her mind. Sure she would. Why not? She didn't know anyone else yet. And she knew the trick to making some friends quickly was to befriend someone, and then meet all of their friends. Ceci liked having a few really close friends, but she also liked having a lot more friends to have fun with or hang out with too. It made life more fun. She looked at him, and even though she hadn't already answered, it was pretty obvious that she'd be sitting with them at lunch now. He's really really cute, she thought, and din't bother scolding herself or anything like that. There was no reason for her not to be thinking that- she assumed most girls did. Ceci walked out of the classroom with him, looking ahead of her, thinking. She was always thinking. But she didn't look creepy. She looked back up at him with a small smile.
________
Her blush was kind of adorable. Mostly awkward. He'd pretty much never had the... "pleasure" of blushing. He wondered for a second what it felt like. Well, the person was probably embarrassed at the moment, so probably not too good. When they hands touched he smiled a little bit. He kind of liked having the power to making girls blush and be all... embarrassed around him. This guy, he knew he was sexy. Hot. Whatever you wanted to name it. He'd learned this by his countless girlfriends. At the moment he wasn't in a relationship- he'd decided to start college drama free. Girls always created way too much drama.
"Hi, Elena," he said to her, "and It's no problem. I have this affect on girls, a lot."
((sorry for the shorter Responses!))
((yeah...I'm so sorry!!!))
Shouldering his bag over one shoulder, he racked a hand through his tousled hair trying to dubiously straighten it out. Slipping his fingers into his jean pockets, he slowed down his pace, making her strides slower too. People walked by him, a few of them minding their own business and rushing to class. Tobias pretended he couldn't see the looks his football team mates were shooting at him, raising their eyebrows asking a silent question. Do you have dibbs on her? Mentally he rolled his eyes, ignoring the awkwardly loud whispers behind their backs. No, he did have any intent and taking this girl to bed, well at least maybe not right now....but that was a different story. He wasn't some crazed sex addict that was for sure. Even though she hadn't given him a direct answer, he assumed she was saying yes since she didn't back down when he led her into the cafeteria and pulled up a chair for her beside him. "so." he said in a casual voice. " what would you like for lunch?" he offered a kind smile, hoping he wasn't coming of as tooo friendly.

Elena started gathering her wits, lifting up her heavy book bag and slinging it on. She was never the type to throw herself into the arms of any guy who would take her. She wasn't ready for a serious relationship like that. It seemed like this guy was sort of like that too, but more on the 'player' side. He wouldn't have a hard time finding some desperate girl, in fact Elena might be the only girl in this school to stay upright on her feet if he flashed a smile. Sure he was hot, she wasn't going to lie. But the only reason why she had gotten so flustered was because he had caught her off guard, and it's not really a confidence booster when your pads and tampons spill out of your pencil case. Elena convinced herself that was the reason at least. Raising an eyebrow slightly, she parted her lips to speak. Who the hell did he think he was?!?!
" Well whatever that affect is." she said in a matter of factly voice. " it's not working on me." Moving around him, she rushed past the bunch of girls who were gasping and shooting her glares as she exited the room. You don't need a guy like that, especially a hot shot like him. She mentally told herself.

He was quite surprised at this reaction- he hadn't first though she'd have it in her to talk to him like that. Honestly, this was a bigger turn on for him instead of all of those slutty girls that threw themselves at him practically, in his eyes, just begging for sex and nothing else. He liked fun as much as the next guy, but he didn't take it too seriously. "Wow," he muttered to himself, watching her walk away. He blinked, suddenly realizing he wanted to talk to her again. Gunner quickly jogged over to her, catching up to her, and tapping her on the shoulder. He knew he must have looked way out of character running after a girl- it was usually reverse. "Hey, um... Sorry about... back there. Would you meet me at The Coffee Corner tomorrow?" He didn't even know what he was doing at this point. His mouth was moving and saying before he could even process it, but he didn't regret it. He wanted to get to know her better, for sure.

Gunner looked around for a seat, only looking for a second. He wasn't the type to dwell on where to sit if there wasn't a seat open by a friend. He sat in front of a really shy-looking girl he'd barely noticed before now.
Class went on like usual, though Gunner kept catching the teacher's dirty looks at him. So she already didn't like him. Well, he didn't like her either! She had to pass him on his work not her preference on him. That, he knew. He always liked seeing teachers giving him a B on something he'd worked pretty hard on, just because of the looks on their faces.
When class ended he stood up and cracked his knuckles casually. "Hey, I didn't catch you name," he said to the girl behind him. He wanted to watch her squirm and blush. All girls like her did, when they were talking to him.
