Finalist: Out of the Easy

I think this is one of the strongest teen books I've read this year, and I've actually read a number of the others on the list for a change. :) The characters are well-drawn and the story is rich and engaging. Anyone else read it?

I started reading it, but unfortunately got sidetracked because I needed to read more books for middle school booktalks. It struck me as possibly being very good.

This is so good, on so many levels. It's certainly from a unique point of view. It's for older teens, probably grade 10 and up in my community. Would also appeal to adults. I was up until the wee hours finishing it, with a tissue in hand, of course.

Fantastic read! Ruta Sepetys is a great storyteller. I hope she has many books to come.
