Your Horizons

To the East: Read a book that is outside of your favorite genre or sub-genre. (i.e., if you usually read fantasy then read a thriller, if you usually read non-fiction then read fiction, if you usually read romance then read a mystery, etc.)

To the West: Read an author that is new to you. (This can be any genre, either what you normally read or something completely new to you.)

I have to force myself to read these types of book each month so I'm not going to participate in 2014.

To the East -- I did not read the original zombie book but I did read another one so I'm counting that as complete.

To the West: -- I've tried to read this book twice now and had it from the library for a very very long time (twice) and realize that I'm just not interested in reading it at this time. Maybe in the future I'll give it another shot.
