(SOLVED) Please help identify this Alt-History Story

I spotted something on Amazon that attracted my interest in the form of a story that borrowed the plotline used in the film 'The Final Countdown'.

In this novel the USS California passes through a 'time hole' and finds itself off the port of Charleston shortly before the start of the US Civil War.

I forgot to make note of the title (or bookmark the page) and was wondering if anyone could identify the book for me.

i dont know, but i wanna read it...in the same vein check out Guns of the South by Harry Turtledove...time travlers give Robert E Lee a big bunch of AK-47s...i live in the deep south, that book has something of a cult following here

The Gray Ship by Russell F. Moran? I haven't read it, just googled to find it.

this sounds alot like the Weapons of Choice series...Weapons of Choice, Desinated Targets, and Final Impact, by John Birnham i think...right down to a lady of color being the Capt....only they went back to WW2 with a whole damn fleet of kick-@$$ ships from 2030 or something...
