Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Christian Science Monitor has two interesting quizzes:

1. Are you as well read as a 10th grader Quiz

My results were dismal You're sort of well read
You could probably hold your own in a literary conversation, but perhaps not with today's 15-year-olds.

Then there is the 12th grade Quiz

To which I redeemed myself with a score of impressive. Not only do you know your classics, but you obviously do a good job of keeping up with contemporary titles as well.

YAY

How did you do?

Jacy (jazabell) | 214 comments On the 10th grade quiz, I got "Well read". I've read or at least part of quite a few of them. I didn't do so hot on the 12th grade quiz. I received a "room to grow" rating. Which is really okay because I went to a rural high school and we stuck mainly to the classics. There are books I've read that my 12th grade son hasn't even heard of.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments I didn't do very good.

10th grade
You might be well read, but not according to these standards

12th grade
A few books short of a full shelf

Stefani Robinson (steffiebaby140) | 30 comments Results for 10th grade:

You're sort of well read

You could probably hold your own in a literary conversation, but perhaps not with today's 15-year-olds.

For 12th grade:

Room for growth. (35-50)

The good news is that there some great books for you yet to discover.

I suspect that is their nice way of saying I suck lol

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Kind of tough right on the 10th grade one I was like what is this book lol

Sandra | 4734 comments On the 10th grader:

You're sort of well read

You could probably hold your own in a literary conversation, but perhaps not with today's 15-year-olds.

There was a definite bias towards American books, which is understandable, but didn't help me at all. LOL. I did 10th Grade back in 1974, were some of those books even written then???

Even worse for 12th Grader:

Room for growth.

The good news is that there some great books for you yet to discover.

Mike | 353 comments I didn't do well with the poetry and the more recent books on either quiz. Did better with the 10th grade then the 12th. There were a lot of books I did read in high school that weren't even on the quizzes.
