Finished this and I need a little time to digest before I try to write a review. It's really a great book, IMO. Different - which is always good, as far as I'm concerned. I gave it 4 stars here and I'm trying to decide if that translates into a B+ or A- grade now. It's not perfect; there are any number of little flaws which most readers may or may not notice. I'm sure I missed a few myself, but it's one of the most original and engaging medievals I've read in quite a while, and I have a VERY short list of medievals that I even recommend as it is. I also liked the lead-in for the sequel at the end, which given how I feel about series' in general, is saying a LOT. I'm intensely curious as to how she's going to pull it off though; the heroine of that one is the sister from this one, and I despised her. Can't imagine her as a heroine at all. If she does it well, I may have to become a squeeing fangirl:P
