Hamza | 3 comments So I was wondering how awesome it would be if Brandon wrote a book of Hoid's adventures of his travels to the various planets and what he witnessed through his point of view and explains us the working of the universe and its varying magic systems and its origins.....

Yeah, I'm trying to read all books which are based in Brandon's Cosmere.

Kenneth Geary (KagedBooks) (kagedbooks) | 118 comments It would take me some time to find it, maybe i'll have some later. But i'm almost positive that he has an interview where he states that Hoid will get his own books that will come at the end of the timeline. I'm not sure if it will go back and explain everything he was doing on the other planets or will just explain more about the 17th shard, but I hope to at least find out if he wrote the letter.

Rainer Dela Cuesta (delacuesta) | 9 comments Which of Brandon Sanderson's series are part of the Cosmere? So far, I have read Mistborn: The Final Empire, and The Way of Kings. And I'm pretty sure the Alcatraz series is not part of the Cosmere .. or is it?

message 6: by Hamza (new)

Hamza | 3 comments I don't think alcatraz is a part of the cosmere but nearly all of his books are except for a few of his novellas...

All of Brandon Sanderson's adult fiction novels are part of the cosmere.

Kenneth Geary (KagedBooks) (kagedbooks) | 118 comments Only the Novellas and YA books are excluded, so basiclly anything that happens on earth is not in cosmere and clearly WOT and Infintiy Blade books are not in it.

Obaid Haroon | 64 comments I believe it's called The Liar of Partinel or something similar. All about hoid and his origins. Should be intriguing.

Joel Brandon also said that he would "possibly" write a side story someday of what Hoid was doing on Scadrial during the Mistborn series.

Godslayer | 10 comments I am under the impression that Dragonsteel will reveal Hoid's origins and a load of background information about Adonalsium itself.

It just hasn't been written yet. Sanderson's writing and publishing timeline puts it at after the Stormlight Archive is done, so it could be a decade before it comes out.

But every books reveals more about him and he was much more prominent in Words of Radiance than previous books, so I think much will be revealed during Stormlight.

Joel Sanderson has also stated that out of all his characters, Hoid is his favorite. So it will be exciting to see why that is when we get that series. I already find Hoid very intriguing and quite funny, so I'm sure it will be loads of fun to read.

Kenneth Geary (KagedBooks) (kagedbooks) | 118 comments From what i've heard Dragonsteel will be Hoid's story arc, but he also has thought about writing companion books to mistborn explaining what he was doing there.

Joel That's exactly what I have heard.
