Yeah, and the sequel is "The Kid who Became President" I love those books. First one is better though.

Bailey | 76 comments my cousin was a china dancer or something like that for that celebration and my other cousins were drummers

message 164: by [deleted user] (new)

uh...my friend was the Chinese solo in the Nutcracker? Sorry...just trying to relate to this conversation.

message 165: by [deleted user] (new)

Brittany wrote: "how many other kids were in it with you?"

like 2000 or somewhat in just choir.... It's fine jess.

message 166: by [deleted user] (new)

what? you don't need to try out....

message 167: by Shelbie (new)

Shelbie (shelbieraeofsunshine) | 21 comments Reading the Book of Mormon, going to the temple, and going to church just brighten up my day! They make you feel like a better person. They also make you want to tell people you're mormon. It's a WONDERFUL thing.

message 168: by [deleted user] (new)

Brittany wrote: "well, it worked!!! i thought you meant it for a second!"

I was! :D

message 169: by [deleted user] (new)

Well she was the soloist and then she had a chorus.

message 170: by [deleted user] (new)

well for sm i know for a FACT that she IS mormon!!

message 171: by [deleted user] (new)

Mm, I'm just going to leave it to God to decide what she is. I can't really say anything.

message 172: by Molverine (new)

Molverine (deatheateregg) Okay, I know for a fact that she's mormon (or at least was 6 months ago)
She was in my friends ward.
And she's an author that's writing from the perspective of a non-LDS girl, and if you even know a non-LDS girl, or go to a public high school, you know that there's a lot of swearing going on.

I'm sorry if you disagree with me, but that's just my opinion

message 173: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, that can't be right. I know several non-members who have much higher standards than Bella by a long shot.

message 174: by Savannah (new)

Savannah (namesavannah-catcherinsoftball) Good Point Brittany! But I think that Setphanie Meyer is Lds. Her books may not show it, and it may not the best by getting into the movies and stuff, but who knows??

message 175: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (thellenator) she's mormon!!! come on guys!!! sheesh!!!...no offense, but...seriously...

message 176: by [deleted user] (new)

Veronica wrote: "i just hate it how girls say that all guys should be like Edward and are very obsessive. Edward sneaks into Bella's room in the middle of the night without her dad knowing and he's like a stalker. ..."

I agree! Edward is bleh compared to some of those returned missionaries out there. I'd rather have a good LDS guy who loves me for who I am, not how I smell and look and how my blood might taste.

message 177: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (thellenator) you have a great point:)

message 178: by Ellen (new)

Ellen (thellenator) YEAH...BUT...IT'S JUST IN THE WAY...IDK HOW TO DESCRIBE IT...YOU CAN TELL HE DOES...IN A WAY...

YEAH...WE'VE BEEN TAUGHT SINCE WE WERE LITTLE TO MARRY IN THE TEMPLE...THAN, OUT OF THE BLUE JUST...NOT...THAT'D BE WIERD

message 179: by [deleted user] (new)

i know that she's LDS but i know that her charaters are not. just because the writers are lds doesn't mean that their charaters are. (sorry if someone's already said that)

message 180: by [deleted user] (new)

i knew she was lds too and it really disapointed me when i saw the first cuss word. but it's her choice i guess

message 181: by [deleted user] (new)

I hate twilight. It is stupid and overrated. It has no plot. Bella is annoying and Edward creeps me out.

message 182: by Audrey (new)

Audrey (AudreyMarie13) | 10 comments I love twilight. but, I kinda have a hard time believing that Stephanie Meyer is Mormon. She writes great books and all, but can she let up on the swearing. Even though the book is for teenagers and I'm not really a teenager yet, I don't think teenagers should read swear words as much as A almost thirteen year old Beehive like me. And Bella sleeping with Edward isn't exactly the best idea to put in a teenager's mind.

I can beleive that Shannon Hale is Mormon. She keeps her characters clean of swearing and other gunk.

I totally agree. Well, not the "I love twilight." part. But twilight messed up my school year last year. No one would talk or hang out with me just because I didn't like twilight. The "popular cluster" always had a pathetic, invisible Edward that was their boyfriend. I'm mean get a life! In their spare time, they made out "Edward the second". Really? Seriously? I'm mean COME ON!

message 185: by [deleted user] (new)

good for you saying twilight rocks, even though we all said it didn't (like me, because, i for one think that it is stupid and overrated like lexi) because what we say doesn't matter.

message 188: by [deleted user] (new)

by the way, lexi, i didn't mean that you were stupid and overrated. just twilight. i was agreeing with you.

message 189: by [deleted user] (last edited Sep 06, 2009 06:42PM) (new)

Hey guys...Please don't take this offensively in any way, but I think that we should delete or change the subject of this conversation. I've looked back and we, (including myself), have begun to gossip I think. It started out as a question and now we're just bashing. What right do we have to point at Meyer? She may have done several things, written things that we as Latter Day Saints don't approve of but I don't think we have any right to say what she has done and the like. I don't think that it's in our power to say what she is. So if you all agree I demand a subject change or the deleting of this discussion, for if we are gossiping so intently, are we any better than her?
Well Sorry guys for the sudden intensity. Have a good day guys! ;) Peace!
