~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 234 comments My grandparents live literally a bolck away from the Provo temple. That's the only way I can find their house, by looking for the temple.

message 52: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) I live thirty minutes from the nearest temple and that's the Logan temple.

message 53: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) Did u know that the Oquirrh Mountain Temple's Moroni got struck by lightning????? And it was just before I got to the temple for the open house!

message 54: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 234 comments Really? Was the statue ok? Like, how much was it damaged and will they have to replace it?

I live 4 hours from a temple. Actually, about 4 hours from 3 temples, so I have options.

message 55: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) It wasn't damaged too badly. It was just a little. . .what's the word. . .toasted. I think it was just a little blackened on the outside and the rain that followed washed that part off.

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

I live maybe 15 minutes away from the draper temple.

O my gosh I live in san diego and I am obsessed with the san diego temple. It is sooo pretty. And the architect of it made it sooo cool. It's all based on one pattern... Which I think is the melcesidic star or something like that. I hope I get married in that temple!!!

message 66: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) I hope to get married in the Logan Temple where my parents were married.

message 75: by Elise (new)

Elise (elise95) | 16 comments So what we talking about? I thought we were talking about Stephanie Meyer and Shannon Hale. They both are LDS! The Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open house was AMAZING as well as the Draper Temple! If you get the chance to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open house you should defiantly go! The beauty of the temples amazes me EVERY time i pass one!

message 76: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) ya, the Oquirrh Mountain Temple is sooooooo pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 77: by Elise (new)

Elise (elise95) | 16 comments did you go to the Draper Temple open house?

message 78: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) No, but I went to the dedication on a temporary recommend.

Heather | 3 comments I heard shannon hale went on a mission! But I love her books they are the best and she does not write anything bad in them unlike Stephanie Meyer...

message 81: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) i heard that the book Austenland had swearing in it and it's by Shannon Hale.

message 82: by Heather (new)

Heather | 3 comments OH ya I forgot I read part of that book and there were some not so good parts well I totally forgot about that but it is also a more grownup book and stephanie meyer and the twilight series is for like teens and lots of young teens read it.

message 83: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) true

message 87: by Heather (new)

Heather | 3 comments see I have not read that I have read the books of Bayern such as Goose Girl and they are like my fav books!

message 88: by Abbigail (new)

Abbigail Nielsen (Abberz) oooohhh. . .

message 89: by Elise (new)

Elise (elise95) | 16 comments well... Just because Shannon Hale is LDS doesn't mean she doesn't swear here and there. I know a lot of good LDS people who swear... But Shannon Hale has been good about her YA books! Love them! Austenland was also good. (i think you should be at least 14 to read, it. It is a bit more grown up...) (and you have to like pride and prejudiced to enjoy it...) so read Pride and Prejudiced first, then Austenland!

message 90: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah she is. i think she talked about it in one of the interviews.

message 91: by [deleted user] (new)

Elise wrote: "well... Just because Shannon Hale is LDS doesn't mean she doesn't swear here and there. I know a lot of good LDS people who swear... But Shannon Hale has been good about her YA books! Love them! ..." yeah. I've never read austenland, but i've read pride and prejudice.

message 99: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey guys. Just a thought. I think Stephenie Meyer has the mostest issues I've ever heard of. not really. But pretty close. I haven't read Twilight... (Too immoral!) but I just read The Host. Good book, but seriously, she is WAY too graphic about her love stuff. It makes me sick. I really wish that she would put some truth in her books. Really, it's like she's denying her religion! It makes me mad! You would think she would use her talent to spread the truth of the Gospel! Even if it's not that noticable, she should! She just rich and crazy. I don't like her.

message 100: by [deleted user] (new)

She needs a life. And a cat. I love kitties! :)
