Jamie Dornan to replace Charlie Hunnam! What do you guys think?

i agree cute but not christian grey hot! plus isn't he a little skinny, christian is ment to be really built.
he looks good in a suit but from all the set pics i have seen he just isn't working for me
and the lack of chemistry between him and dakota is a real worry for me.
if they don't have a spark the film will not work on any level.

I think he is going to be great...Christian Grey is charming but one sad little boy inside. Controlled and vulnerable...I'm ready to see it!!! I think any actors have a chance to fail and to not have chemistry...just because Hunnam might have looked more the part doesn't mean he was the best for it. Open your mind, ladies!

I think no matter what, there's no way to please everyone. I am happy with Dornan and am excited for the film because I have let go of what I envisioned as the perfect CG and Ana. People need to be more open-minded and have a little faith. Can't really tell much by seeing a picture. Wait until there's actual footage before judging the cast.

Hands down, Jamie Dornan is the best choice for the role of Christian Grey. He fits the image perfectly (hot, beautiful, GREAT body, greek god... I could go on forever). And when I re-read the books for my 4th time, he slid into my mind perfectly when I thought of Christian. He has a great dark-look face, a concerning face, a lost look, and a I-am-going-to-spank-you-now-and-take-you face. Also, he is an AMAZING ACTOR!!! If you've seen The Fall, you'll know. I think they did the best job of casting him because he is just so Christian Grey in every way, and btw, I couldn't see Matt Bomer as CG because his hair is too dark and he doesn't have that lost-boy look. As for Dakota Johnson playing Anastasia Steele, they did another fantastic job. In the beginning, I couldn't see it because of the blonde hair, but when I saw the Entertainment Weekly photos of them in character, she was perfect. She nailed the image, innocent looking yet insanely stunning. The on-scene images helped, too. And, when I re-read the epilogue of FSF as her being a mother, I could totally see Dakota being that loving mother with Jamie. THE BEST JOB CASTING!!! GREAT JOB GUYS.

I'll admit that I was not "team Jamie" when the announcement first came out. But I whole heartedly take that opinion back and an now totally on board! Every time a new filming pic gets tweeted, my heart melts a little more!

I agree with you, he is perfect for CG
His body and face are well proportion and he is very good looking, and a great actor. They have picked this actors very carefully much more so that the ones from Twilight and that movie did not do too bad.

I'm going to be completing honest. I was ready to boycott the movie when I first heard Charlie was going to play Christian Grey. I am not saying he's not good looking, but he's just not Christian Grey. I was over the top happy when Jamie was announced. He has that hot CEO, spank me kind of look!!! Yay for Hollywood!!!
