i’m trying to remember a name of a book i read 7 years ago and i know a bunch of facts about it but can’t find the name:

it’s a dystopian science fiction novel
it has something to do with the world is constantly on fire maybe having to do with books as well
everyone lives in little boxes or cubicle type things
the main character starts with a z and he is a young teenager
the main character meets an old man whose name i think starts with a j that is using a type writer to record everything that’s happening in the world
when the old man dies he leaves the typewriter to the young boy to finish the story
there were a bunch of made up words that went along with the story line of the book
**it is not fahrenheit 451 or the book thief
