This book is about a 15 year old girl name Alexa Jackson. As she approaches her 16th birthday someone new comes into her life. That someone is Kellan Bancroft. With him he brings this mysterious demeanor. Then out of nowhere she gets some shocking new. Lexi isn't human. Not only is she shocked by this but by something that her parents have kept her from her entire life. As Lexi goes through massive new changes she learns how to become a confident young women. And learns how to open her heart to love.

I liked the book because not only did it tae place in modern times, but with life of a teen. Not only does Alexa go through supernatural changes, she deals with them in a very human way. She also still deals with human problems. The love of the story had me captivated from the first few chapters. The love is that of soul mates. Something I firmly believe in. So this story spoke not only to my interest in vampires, but to the romantic in me.

I think the idea of soul mates is something that keeps us going at times in our lives. I'm just not sure our soul doesn't change along with our experiences and minds as we face the world. I'm glad you enjoyed your book.
