The Silent Wife by A.S.A Harrison is about a twenty year marriage between Jodi and Todd that ended because Todd had an affair. The big idea is that Todd is involved with another woman while he is still in a relationship. He is living with Jodi but is hanging out with Natasha when he is not home. Natasha is the only one benefiting from Todd because she is getting him to leave his wife. Jodi is suffering because she stayed faithful to him and now she has to live alone. Jodi has to watch her husband be happy with another woman. Overall, Todd is a smart, AFFLUENT man with a successful job, having luxury items. He is a confused man who can’t make up his mind on what he really wants. He is different when he is around Jodi than he is with Natasha. With Jodi he is in a depression and isn’t happy with her anymore. With Natasha he is alive happier and EXUBERRANT. With this in mind, Todd broke the news to her when he was in the process of moving to a new apartment with Natasha. It took him very long to tell Jodi. Before this he was just going home like nothing was going on. After he told Jodi, he went on living his new life with Natasha. He cut Jodi off completely of his money; in spite of this Jodi had other plans on what her next move would be something that she would have never suspected she would ever do. Because of Todd going out and being more than flirtatious, made these circumstances possible. What is important is this all could have been prevented if they had more communication or even have seen a therapist before he let this escalate as far as it did. As a result, he had an affair with her because he felt the needed to fill a void. He chose to leave Jodi because Natasha got pregnant and had to start a new life. The causes of what Todd did really hurt Jodi and made her feel MELANCHOLY. Given that, Todd became CANDID with Jodi and understood what had to come next .Todd made his own decisions and had to pick what life he wanted to be in. Jodi became to be very angry and decided to hire someone to kill him before him and Natasha got married, so she would still be in his will and get her share of his money. What Todd did to Jodi made her become the person she is now, she would have never expected to have plotted her own husband death. Todd now won’t be able to be there for his unborn son or ever get to marry Natasha.
