Editing covers question

Unless there have been changes to the rules we are not allowed to use Amazon pictures.
"And also, if a book already has a cover uploaded, but it's a really tiny picture and very bad quality, can we update the cover with a better quality version as long as it is the same cover?"
Far as I remember, yes, the rules say so.

Replacing poor quality (but same cover) and removing whitespace/Amazon flashing are fine, BUT put a comment in the Change Comment box (at the bottom) before saving so as to explain what you did and why. E.g. "Re-uploaded corrupted image", "Replacing poor quality image", "Replacing with cover image without whitespace and Amazon Look Inside"... as appropriate. Helps when trying to track changes.
Are we okay to edit book covers, say a cover has the white boarder that sometimes comes with Amazon pictures, or someone has taken a photo of a book on a table, and you can see the table, can we crop the pictures, so it's just the book cover showing?
And also, if a book already has a cover uploaded, but it's a really tiny picture and very bad quality, can we update the cover with a better quality version as long as it is the same cover?
Thanks, Char :)
