She closed her eyes and quickly fell back asleep. Eric always calmed her and she felt like she had the best sleep ever that night.

Ariel blinked at the sunlight streaming through her window. She turned her head and saw that Eric was staring at her. "Good morning." She mumbled sleepily.
Ariel sat up and stretched. She swinger her legs over the bed and stood. "I'm going to go take a shower." She said grabbing some jeans and a tshirt before walking into the bathroom and shutting the door.
After Ariel finished with her shower she got dressed and wrapped her hair in the towel. When she stepped out of the bathroom she was perplexed to find Eric still there. "What are you still doing here? I thought you would've gone to take a shower too." She said.
Ariel smiled and began drying her hair. "Well I know now so you can go take your shower if you want." She said watching him out on his shirt. She would never get used to him shirtless.
Ariel watched him leave and the returned to drying her hair. She sat in front of her vanity and put on a light layer of makeup and then waited for Eric to return.
Ariel blushed. All she was wearing was an old t-shirt and black skinny jeans. "I'm not wearing anything special." She said walking over to the bed and sitting next to him.
Ariel nodded and stood. "Where are we going?" She asked taking his hand. She raised an eyebrow at his shirt but didn't say anything.
A smile tugged at her lips and she shook her head. "You're so sure of yourself." She said a little wistfully. She wished she could be that confident.
Jasmine hadn't gotten a hold of Ariel so she just went to her dorm and knocked. She hoped her friend was here because she would hate to have to spend the day alone. She really wanted to talk to Ariel about everything that had happened.
Ariel was busy drawing when a knock startled her out of her art daze. She put down her piece of charcoal and went to open the door. She grinned when she saw it was Jasmine. "Hey! Come in!" She opened the door wider.
"Hey!" Jasmine stepped inside and looked around. "How have you been? We haven't talked in ages." Jasmine smiled brightly pulling Ariel in for a hug. She saw a sketch on the bed and wondered what it was of.
Ariel hugged Jasmine. "I know. I've missed you." When she pulled back she followed Jasmine's gaze. "Oh that was just something I was working on. I was thinking of home and realized that I've never drawn it."
"Really? So you're drawing a picture of underneath the water?" Jasmine asked, instantly curious. She went and sat on the edge of Ariel's bed and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Well I'm trying to. To me home looks like it does for you when you think of home. I never noticed the underwater part most of the time, but I want to capture that aspect in my drawing. I'm just not sure how." She said sitting next to Jasmine and handing her the sketchbook.
Jasmine admired the drawing. It was such and interesting choice to use charcoal and Jasmine loved it. "It's beautiful Ariel. Oh, you are so talented." She flashed the other girl a smile.
Ariel grinned and blushed at the same time. She still wasn't used to people giving her comments. "Thanks." She said tucking a strand of behind her ear. "I may start over and try again with watercolors."
"Well if you do and don't want this one I'd be all too happy to take it." Jasmine offered. She would hate for the sketch to be deemed a failure and thrown away. "But, in other news, how have you been? What's been going on?" She asked.
Ariel nodded. "Yeah you can have it if you want. Once it's done." She set the sketchbook aside and turned back to her friend. "Well I found out why Eric left me like he did on our date that one time."
Jasmine smiled wider when she said she could have the sketch but it faded a bit when she mentioned Eric. "You did? Why did he do it, what happened?" She asked. She was going to be supportive at the very least.
Ariel twirled a piece of her hair. "Well last night he sneaked into my room. Scared the crap outta me by the way." She said with a smile before continuing. "One thing led to another and I told him that I loved him." She stopped trying to gauge Jasmine's reaction.
((I know. I was the first to comment on and like it!))Jasmine tried not to let her face fall. She kept a brave face and didn't allow her smile to falter. "Well in future tell him to just knock or give him a key." She said with a playful grin. "Did he say it back?" She asked.
Ariel knew that Jasmine didn't approve of her relationship with Eric but she was glad she hid her real feelings. Ariel nodded happily. "Yeah he did. He said that's the reason he left me that one night. He was confused about how he felt. He apologize profusely."
Well at least he treated Ariel well. Jasmine used this thought to help her not to get upset. "I'm glad you're happy. If you weren't I would feel guilty that I am." She said. In fact, Jasmine couldn't be happier because everything was out in the open now with her and Aladdin, no secrets.
Ariel smiled. "I'm very happy. So what's new with you?" She asked. She didn't want to spend the whole time talking about herself. She wanted to hear about Jasmine.
"Well, thanks to the fact that you found him for me." She flashed Ariel a smile. "Aladdin and I are together. And apparently he and Eric know each other." She wasn't going to say how as that was a secret but she thought Ariel should at least know if she didn't already.
Ariel's eyes widened. "Really? I had no idea."Why hadn't he told me She though. "I'm glad you're happy though." She said.
"I know, neither did I." Jasmine tried not to grimace. "Yeah, I've never been happier, or felt safer and I don't have nightmares anymore." Jasmine admitted. It just felt good to talk to Ariel.
Ariel squeezed Jasmine's hand. "That's good. Hopefully they never come back." She had been worried about Jasmine. Now she could rest easy knowing Aladdin was taking care of her.
"They won't if my method for keeping them away doesn't go away." Jasmine said with a smile. Honestly she was worried about her own nightmares now she was worried about Aladdin. "So what happened with you and Eric after you said you loved each other? Did he leave, have you seen him since?" She asked.
Ariel shook her head. "No he stayed the night, and then we went to the movies today. We saw titanic." She laughed. "I had never pegged him for a romantic movie type."
((Sorry I took so long. My dogs got out.))Jasmine gave her a teasing smile and then said. "He probably isn't a romantic type, just thought you would be. I mean he still doesn't know you all that well right?" Jasmine asked.
((It's all good :D))Ariel shrugged. "He knows me well enough. I mean we've only been dating a couple weeks. Should he know more?" She asked worriedly. She had never done this before.
"I don't think there's anything wrong Ariel." Jasmine assured. "Just spend time talking and you'll learn about each other." She assured her. That was what she and Aladdin used to do back in Agrabah, just lay on her balcony and talk. Well, when they weren't getting into dangerous situations.
Ariel nodded. "I'm glad you're my friend Jasmine. You've helped my transition so much." She would have probably been stumbling through life if it were't for her.
"I'm glad too." Jasmine said softly. "I've only ever had one friend and he's a guy. It's different talking to a girl." Jasmine had never thought that she might like to have a friend who was a girl but it was nice to have someone who could really relate on an emotional level.
Ariel scooted back until she was sitting up against her headboard. She patted the spot next to her. "What's your friend like?"
Jasmine leaned up against the headboard beside Ariel. "Cameron? Oh, he's great. He's funny and sweet and caring. We've known each other since we were five and he lives right down the street from me. Well most of the time. Sometimes it seems like he's moved in with us because he comes and never seems to leave." Jasmine laughed.
Ariel smiled. "I wish I would have had a friend like that. Well I kinda did. There was a fish named flounder and he did everything with me. I was quite the troublemaker." She said remembering all her adventures.
"Really? Can you talk to fish?" She asked. "I have a tiger and he's just as close to me as Cameron." Jasmine smiled thinking of both Cameron and Raj. "And you have me. I'm always gonna be here." She assured her.
"Yeah I can, since I'm considered a fish." She said. "You have a pet tiger? That's so cool." She picked at her pants. "I just hope that I'll always be here."
Jasmine tilted her head to the side considering this. "That is so interesting." She said finally. "Yeah, his name is Rajah. Cameron and I saved him from being euthanized at the zoo." She explained, then squeezed Ariel's hand. "You will be."
"They were going to euthanize him? It's a good thing that you saved him then." She said. She smiled at Jasmine. "Only if my father allows it."
"I loved him and he loved me. I couldn't let him die." Jasmine smiled. She had such a connection with Raj from the start. Now she wondered if it had been more than just coincidence. "Well then we'll have to make sure he allows it."
