Yeah, me too. Unfortunately, the sixth season hasn't yet come on TV in India.

Groovy Lee My favorites are:

Hannibal--don't talk to me when it's on:)
Just about any PBS series
Sherlock
Criminal Minds
It used to be Person of Interest, but I'm sorry, when they changed the formula and added those two annoying women, I'm drifting away from it.

message 160: by [deleted user] (new)

Please no spoilers!!
I'm only on season 3!!

message 161: by Sue (new)

This season of Hannibal isn't doing it for me yet. All style over substance so far.

GOT is brilliant though this last season wasn't all great. Great last two episodes.

message 163: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Janet, what genre is that favorite TV series of yours, GOT. I want to hear this from YOU!

Groovy Lee Janet, I can't watch this season of Hannibal, yet because of schedule. So, my daughter and I plan to buy season 3 when it comes out on DVD (we're collecting all seasons) But without giving too much away, why don't you like it? Did they change the formula?

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments They canceled one of the few series I like this year.

Stupid networks.

message 170: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Person of Interest is losing my interest (pun intended) If they don't get rid of those annoying women and go back to their original formula, I'm outta there.

If I'm not mistaking, Rookie Blue has been canceled here in the US.

Criminal Minds? My favorite show has started there? Can't wait to see it here; also Stalker.

Which series is that, Mike?

But I'm irritated at the networks, too. I mean, on just about every channel here in the US--GOLF, GOLF, GOLF! But Tennis?

And I miss Wipeout. Where is it?

message 171: by Sirena (new)

Sirena | 101 comments I read through all the posts and I have to say I have not seen any of the shows mentioned except The Big Bang Theory.

message 172: by H.A. (new)

H.A. Raynes (haraynes) | 67 comments So many. The Fall. Orphan Black. Broadchurch. Blacklist. Flash. Arrow. GOT. Walking Dead. I could go on. Seriously watch too much television.

message 173: by Sue (new)

Sue (coccotoro) | 2087 comments I bought the Americans, and we started the Series 1, and it is very good. It reminds me of Nikita.

message 174: by Carolina (new)

Carolina Morales (carriemorales) | 68 comments The Americans, Mad Men and Vikings.

message 175: by H.A. (new)

H.A. Raynes (haraynes) | 67 comments Oh forgot The Americans and Mad Men.

Watch The Americans

Have The Vikings to watch

message 177: by Gina (new)

Gina I love The Americans! Also like:

Stalker
Big Bang Theory
Dancing with the Stars
Ray Donovan
Nurse Jackie
I watch all the Dateline, 48 Hours and 20/20 shows on true crime.

Old favorites I really miss:
Sopranos
Dexter
Prison Break
Secrets and Lies (only had one season, I think they could've continued with a new storyline with the killer)
Rules of Engagement
Body of Proof

message 178: by H.A. (new)

H.A. Raynes (haraynes) | 67 comments Another one on Netflix that's good is Wallander (there are two versions, the one with Kenneth Branagh is the one I liked)

message 179: by Solange (last edited Jun 22, 2015 11:20AM) (new)

Solange | 10 comments Not sure if it would be considered a "series," but The Shining has always been one of my favorite Stephen King books. I just started the sequel to it, where Danny is once again facing off against his own demons, as well as some remnants from the Overlook hotel. Creepy.

message 180: by Solange (new)

Solange | 10 comments TV shows - I go old school. X files usually a 4:00 in the morning. I also love all the true crime stuff.

message 181: by Carolina (new)

It's a mini series, such as Bonnie & Clyde and Hatfields & McCoys. All three awesome, by the way!

message 182: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee If I'm not mistaking, the Americans has been canceled here in the US. At least I haven't seen it on tv. And I guess Wipeout is gone, too, since no one has mentioned it.

I think they're preparing for the fourth season shooting...?

message 184: by Gina (new)

Gina Groovy wrote: If I'm not mistaking, the Americans has been canceled here in the US

OH NO! I can't believe that! Geez, if I don't find some new shows to get into, I'll have nothing to watch :(

message 185: by Sue (new)

Sue (coccotoro) | 2087 comments Probably as I just bought seasons 1-3 of The Americans and really enjoying it.

message 186: by Groovy (last edited Jun 22, 2015 01:55PM) (new)

Groovy Lee I could be wrong according to Carolina in message 185. Everybody seems to like this show. I might give it a try.

Also, I tried to give it a chance, but I just could not get into the new PBS series, POLDARK (two thumbs down) But I really like the new Crimson Field series about the nurses (thumbs up)

I forgot to mention Grimm and Constantine. Looking forward to them returning.

message 187: by Mike (the Paladin) (last edited Jun 22, 2015 01:10PM) (new)

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments My favorite series hasn't seen a lot of mention lately. My favorite series is Grimm. As a matter of fact I can't believe how caught up in I've gotten (re-watching the previous series to see what I've missed, looking for "clues" the writers may have dropped). I don't think I've enjoyed a series this much since I was a teen and we got the first TV in our cave-complex. The dinosaurs were always knocking out the cable.

Anyway, if you haven't tried it Gina you might.

message 188: by Gina (new)

Gina Grimm seems very popular here, I guess I need to check it out!

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments I found it addictive.

message 190: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee I honestly don't know how this new series, WHISPERS, is still on tv. It's just about very young kids who aren't properly supervised being influenced by some evil entity and teaching them all how to lie constantly. Seriously!

Some plots aren't meant to be televised as a series.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments I didn't make it past the first episode...

message 192: by Lynn Renee (new)

Lynn Renee | 1708 comments I like the outdoor shows like The Bush People and another show of a small native village in Alaska. Stuff like that. Just caught an episode of NCIS last night. I really don't watch a lot of television. I'll be reading and have the television on HGTV but muted most of the time.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments I've never been one for the so called "reality TV". BUT (there's always a "but" isn't there?) I kind of like Bar Rescue and Catch a Contractor. I always wonder how real these are because the contractor show reveals some dangerous "stuff".

message 194: by Galadrial (last edited Jun 23, 2015 03:00PM) (new)

Galadrial (galadrial59) | 6 comments I am currently loving:

The Blacklist (can't wait till fall)
The Strain (this summer)
Covert Affairs (my favorite, but I don't think it's coming back)
Royal Pains (I love this show, it's like a fluffy dessert, sweet and airy, perfect for summer)
Big Bang Theory
Penny Dreadful (on Showtime, love it, very dark!)
And, my husband and I watch Jeopardy every night while eating. It's our routine, and we get very competitive.

I binge watched the first season of True Detective on HBO recently. It was good, but I felt it didn't live up to the hype. I did love both Matthew McConoughy and Woody Harrelson. Their performances kept me watching. So far not impressed with Season Two, after only one episode. I'll give it a few more.

My guilty pleasure, the one series that I watch whenever it is on, is Law and Order SVU.

The only reality TV I watch are cooking shows: Chopped, The Next Food Network Star, Iron Chef, Top Chef.

My favorite movie series are The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, which is nice since they are also my favorite books!

message 195: by H.A. (new)

H.A. Raynes (haraynes) | 67 comments Hey everyone, not sure but I heard The Americans got picked up and renewed by Netflix...not sure if that's true but there's hope!

message 196: by Gina (new)

Gina Crossing my fingers for The Americans!

message 197: by Sue (new)

Sue (coccotoro) | 2087 comments Just finished seeing Season 1 & 2 and waiting for Season 3 to be sent. Really enjoying The Americans.

message 198: by Kat (new)

Kat | 21 comments I like Lisa Gardner's Quincy and Rainie series. She switches it up and uses Quincy's daughter as the main character in some of the series. Keeps it fresh and interesting.

message 199: by Kat (new)

Kat | 21 comments Haha, I thought you meant book series. Well in that case... I love Dexter (even though it's over), Bloodline is pretty good. House of Cards is by far my favorite right now! Can't wait for the new season!

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) I really like "The Walking Dead," "Friends," "Law & Order: SVU," "Pretty Little Liars," "Game of Thrones," "True Blood," and "Mike & Molly."
